BLFC 2015 and Robot Hand!

As of March 21st,
paper-wings and I are now married! I was honored to have 
tenkri as my best man and 
KajiRyuujin as a groomsman. She has moved into my house and we are looking forward to doing tons of neat fursuit videos and building stuff!
I have to say, this has been one of the busiest but most incredible times of my life. I am happier than I have ever been.

Suit Repair, Fireworks, Marriage
Posted 11 years agoFourth of July was successful as ever, with no major damage to my head or hands! This clearly means I wasn't trying hard enough.
I haven't posted lately due to my recent engagement to the lovely paper-wings with an upcoming marriage early next year. After that I'll probably be moving up to Washington, for her graduate schooling and my promotion to field engineer!
In current times, I am working on building a new body suit to replace my damaged and worn out previous body. I also discovered in this process that duct tape does not make a good thimble.

LED Claws Stream - Friday

I'm going to get back into doing my instructional live streams. The first of these will be a small guide on how to create LED claws, along with some basics on electronics and considerations for using them in fursuit.
The exact time will be announced friday, but expect it to be around 8 or 9pm Pacific Time.

Compressor Fires!

Things have been rather hectic, I have been hired on as an engineer, working with air compressors and other equipment.
I've already had several clients with fires! Their fault admittedly, as they let sawdust and stuff in it.
Either way, it is now exciting because I will be able to ramp up my production of goods, now that I have money to do so!
Next goal, to hopefully be completed for RF2013...
WIND GUN! For cooling off my fellow fursuiters!

Ends and Beginnings (A tale of college, illness, and career)
Posted 12 years agoToday is a bittersweet day.
I am two weeks away from graduating from Oregon State University as a mechanical engineer, and I have just received a job offer.
On this day as well my beloved family dog, Boomer, has been diagnosed with liver cancer and possible lung cancer. He is not eating. If the ultrasound finds he has lung cancer, he will die.
I called my family today, and I had another strange event.
My father, a 20 year military officer of the rank Colonel in the USAF said he was proud of me and what I had accomplished. This is a huge honor, as this comes from a man who has sent satellites into space, holds a Ph. D in aerospace engineering with a focus on rocketry. I could hear him tearing up on the phone as he told me how happy he was to hear the news.
Truly, life is a strange place. I cannot control most events, but I can at least affect some outcomes. The rest is up to chance.

I dated the lovely paper-wings, with whom I am still happily with.
I created a high energy Jacob's ladder that caught fire several times.
I built a race car chassis for college out of carbon fiber, staying up practically every night until 1 to 2am, 7 days a week to finish in time.
The final step of my education awaits...graduating college (hopefully) next term!
I would like to thank everyone who aided me along this little journey, and I hope I can repay all of you without burning your lawns or destroying your ceilings.

Adventures in Beets, Vodka, and Space (FC2013 Recap)

FC2013 was an absolute blast, and I got to meet a large number of people. However, no one wants to read about that. On to the insanity!
I walked into the Communist Party dressed as an American astronaut. This resulted in being challenged to a space race by a cosmonaut. Though I lost (naturally, being the communist party and all), I got the pleasure of drinking chunky beet slush and vodka in front of a room full of people. I then promptly attempted to dance while smelling of beets and confusion in the main dance hall. I made sure to hug
ratherdashing1121 while smelling of beets (don't tell him).
I hope you all had an amazing time while there, and once again thanks to paper-wings for being awesome while at the con. Best girlfriend ever.

As of today my surgery for my knee is done. I will be able to walk on my leg in a couple days, and they put a catheter in my side that feeds numbing medicine into my femoral nerve cluster. I feel pretty good, with little pain. Should be healed up in a couple months!
Fun fact, I apparently start asking what everything is made of when on sedatives.

Senseless Violence and Bubblegum (RF 2012 Story time!)

So I have a rather odd little story. I was using my Jacob's Ladder (the 9000 volt electrical arc generator) to harass the artists in the Art Jam when it overheated and began to smoke. I realized I had no tools, and if I turned it on again, it would melt things. A kind artist lent me a pocket knife, and I scraped away the carbon. This, however, left the electrical rods exposed.
I didn't have any duct tape.
Thinking quickly, I sprang into action! I stole some already chewed gum from the mouth of an onlooker (laser robbery and some rubber gloves), and used it to seal the gun closed. The gum has now baked into some kind of ceramic from the heat.
RF was an excellent con, made some friends, attacked some onlookers, and was re-inspired to get my tail back to work on science!

Posting a journal from Rainfurrest, 2012. I haven't been postling for a while due to some leg trauma, but I am definitely back and soon to be posting a great deal of images from the con! I've been hunting suiters this con with a smoke ring cannon, and the jacob's rifle has been a great hit! I will be upgrading to a Tesla rifle soon, and making this bugger lighter (my poor...poor back...)
In other news, I will soon be working with some German students on a Formula 1 Race Car competition for college, and may be visiting Germany for a week.
Guess I will have to learn the language!
Edit: Blasted hotel internet, I do not need 4 resurrections! This isn't world of warcraft!
