Weasyl?
Posted 12 years agoOk, I saw it, and.....well, kinda makes me think of the status of Inkbunny.
I mean, just another art site, right?
From the way I see it, FA won't ever fade, since there is already SO MUCH STUFF on here. SO MUCH ART.
Ok, I search for stuff on Inkbunny and this new Weasyl...and so far, nothing really new, just stuff artists post on there that they already have here.
Why should someone switch to see less stuff? I say yeah, check it out, but no point joining until the site attracts new artists NOT related to FA to get more attention.
Just my speel on the matter. Not saying any art site is better or worse, cause maybe Weasyl IS better, who knows? Of course, the newer ones might be faster cause they have so much less stuff. Time will tell.
Except DA...whose layout just....they try, but it has not "clicked" yet with me.
I mean, just another art site, right?

Letting everyone know that I am looking forward to the day after tomorrow. (Wow....I am so repetitive.)
The chances of the world ending tomorrow are nil, not gonna happen. Why? Cause it's gonna happen when NO ONE THINKS IT WILL HAPPEN!
So I encourage all of you who DO think it will happen, cause as long as there are people who think it is going to be...say, tomorrow or some other date, cause then I know it will not happen in the mere future.
So, look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow, the day after, and next year!

Posted 13 years agoI was on the shore in the last two days, and I am finally back!
The shore was great, water was 78 degrees, fairly warm, rather calm so not much use of the body board I have.
I saw a couple of fish, crabs, tried to open up and see the inside of live clams, (I stopped cause I did not want to hurt em, but they were tough buggers!) It was fun.
That sun...even if you do use sun screen, I could not have prepared myself for the stinging sunburn. I thought I had everything covered until I read the tiny footnote on the bottle: "Apply every 2 hours". DOH!
So, burt coyote stings pretty bad...

But I STILL get BSOD every time I share a web link on msn or yahoo IM.
AND, I tried to do custom upgrade using my Windows 7 upgrade disc, it always fails.
AND, I can't do "bring to factory new", dunno how I can do that after going into startup and BIOS options,
AND, my recovery D:/ drive is now down to 3.04 GB, for NO APPARENT REASON!
I hate my %$#@ computer!

Posted 13 years agoToday was the first time I have been ridiculed at college....
In my High School, there was always the group of kids that are popular and liked to say mean things, but in college you really don't expect it.
I always envisioned college as being a break from High School, a place where you learn to find your place in the world, get a degree, then job, and all other things under the optimistic umbrella.
If someone seemed mean, it's easier to get away from them in college. You have the choice to go somewhere else and avoid the places where they would hang out and find your own spots.
But this was the first day someone spoke out, delibertly came to seek me out, going out of their way to say something nasty.
Was walkin in the library passing some computers, then behind me I hear a voice, the kind that comes from a squeakily nerdy kid in the movies that is short, wears glasses, suspenders, and has a shirt pocket filled with pencils and such. The kid says "Hey Junior!" and you know it does not mean "junior in college", but the derogatory, "hey I am bigger and stronger than you, so I am calling you junior". I turned around, then quickly looked away. It was some tall jock looking kid that was tall, along with someone I did recognize from my math class back when I was a freshman who was the typical football build. I brushed it off, but then I had to walk by them again since all the computers were filled up in the back. As I walked by the second time, I heard in that mocking nerdy voice which I KNEW was directed at me: "I am a level 35 dungeonmaster!"
Ya know, I know it is rather trite and juvenile, but in a college setting it seems very inappropriate. AND, I did not even know the guy, but I did know the friend who said nothing. I don't wear game shirts, I only talk about games with my friends, and I never give the impression that I am that kind of person, why would someone go out of their way to label me?
It's small, but even the smallest knife can cut...
Turning it around, I did realize that I could have been a better person too. There is this one kid that has a high squeaky voice that I tend to ignore every so often due to me being stressed, I will make an effort to say hi to him and not make him feel invisible. In a way, I am glad I got nicked by that knife, since it made me drop my own.

Well, some of my friends know, some do not, that I recently went to see the broadway musical "Anything Goes". It was great, and if any of you want to know more of the details just post here.
What caught my eye during the show was a few lines in the song, "You're the Top".
My jaw dropped when I thought they referenced "ponies and bronies". Maybe I misheard, or maybe they did change up the lyrics, but it really shocked me.
