Pre-Spring Cleaning Needed
Posted 8 years agoWell, I think I've neglected my account for long enough. Seriously thinking about nuking everything and starting over again. However, I don't think I want to create a new account. I may just delete everything or move it all to my Scraps.
Teaser for my Novel
Posted 10 years agoSo, this is my first time posting about it here on FA, but for about a year now, I've been working on a novel. It's about a werewolf, and I have titled it "Werewolf of the Castle".
Here is a teaser preview of the story:
"Pg.1
Let me tell you a story about a young prince who was pushed into darkness.
He had led his people well. But, one day, an unfortunate encounter left him with a dark curse.
A vampire bit him, changing him into something else - something more.
He was chased out of his own kingdom, forced into hiding at the only place he could - the dark remains of Dracula's old castle.
There, his DNA changed into something different. A new kind of evil; Half-vampire, half-werewolf.
Over the years, his powers grew as he fed in solitude. Over time, the servants of evil started crawling their way to the castle.
A new Lord had been chosen, and they were all slowly rising to his will.
His powers grew with each feeding.
With each full moon, he rose stronger than before.
After a decade of silently building his strength, and his army, the dark prince was ready to make his move.
He sought vengeance against all those who had wronged him.
But, at the heed of his butler, he thought "Why stop there?"
With the entire world at his feet, he could rise as a new savior, reborn as the ultimate evil.
If no one would help him in his time of need, then all would suffer.
But then, along came a boy. A young man equal to the forsaken prince.
He, who had the most innocent of hearts, would be the dark prince's victim.
For you see, by eating the heart of such an innocent - the werewolf would gain his true powers.
But it was only by the young man sacrificing himself willingly that the ritual would work.
And so began the dance, the courtship between the naive human - and the deceptive beast.
Both wanted something from one another, but what they got was far more than expected.
In due course, the two became one. Spirit and soul permeated the heart of one so pure, and one so corrupt.
During this relationship, a holy man appeared to stop the plight of evil.
His mind and his sword were drawn to the castle; he went to investigate, and destroy the evil within.
Would he be able to save the tortured souls of the two men inside?
All would be lost if he failed.
Pg.2
To live and to die in this world of pain is nothing.
To change the life of another, though...That is where the true blessings show.
That is where both souls saw one another for who they truly are.
And that is when fate conspired to sabotage them more than ever.
They were not meant to be,
But, oh did they try.
It is by the sacrifice of one,
That both shall live.
The holy man was conflicted,
Strike down the innocent,
Or let the whole world burn for his mercy.
Evil does have its sway,
But only by the love of someone so strong, yet so weak.
That's the kind of love that knows no boundaries.
A love that could doom us all if allowed to run free.
Love is a dangerous weapon,
Because it has the power to influence the heartless, as well as the hopeless,
Even if only for just a moment.
But it cannot always change who we are.
Sometimes we are bound by destiny.
That begs the question,
What are we really willing to die for?"
