Overall an excellent con! Second MFF for me, and first time working on staff--they run a very tight ship, regardless of the pirate theme.

Two small pieces of news:

I have my new place in Mountain View! I will moving most of my stuff next weekend, whereas this weekend I will be celebrating my little brother's graduation and also running the Bay to Breakers in fursuit (again). While I'll be heading back to Berkeley for the monthly meet (and because I love walking around Berkeley) I definitely look forward to hanging out with my friends (and friends yet to be made) in the south bay.

Also, I have lined up a trip to Tokyo for work next month! I'll be working out of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower from 17 June to 21 June, and will be around on the weekend just before and after. This will be my first trip to Japan; please let me know if you have any travel advice. :)

So, in unrelated news, I'm moving to Mountain View and picking up a new project--working on Android Maps. So woot. I'll be moving across the month of May, hoping to get a place around May 1 (to avoid the 3-hour-round-trip commute by bus) and finish the move by June 1. It'll be sad to see Berkeley go, but I'm ready for a new adventure, and at least I'll still be in the Bay Area.

Life is good.

I had a blast of a con rooming with mirage, sarakazi and archaemic. I milled through the photos and posted the publishable 321 (including my favorite 45)...not even counting the couple of days we spent in Chicago. (That'll have to wait until another time!)

FC2012: Great con. Got to see a lot of people, got to skate in fursuit (pretty well, too!), got to suit up as Tulver in the parade and masquerade. Was fun meeting roommates, but I think we'll have to get a room to ourselves next year. Also: bloop!

I haven't really posted here in ages. I skipped over a trip to India (and pictures at the zoo in Hyderabad), multiple cons and their commissioned artwork, and several other things.

But I did run Bay to Breakers again. In fursuit again. I got interviewed for a yet-to-be-found Youtube video, and I had my photo taken and stuff. I ran with fabulous friend  procyon, who took the pictures and helped me stay coherent.

NO: Anthrocon. Just didn't book it, couldn't justify the cost. I'm glad I didn't, because:

YES: India. I'll be leaving on June 17 for a week in India on the company dime. This is going to rock, hard. On the way home I'm stopping by London for a couple days of wandering, because I know the language but want to wander and swing dance. (Sadness: I'll be missing the monthly London furmeet by just two days.) Anyway, I'll be back on June 30, which neatly misses all of Anthrocon anyway.

YES: Rainfurrest. ichiblack and I are doing Rainfurrest this year.

PROBABLY NOT: Antheria. There's a lot going on. Haven't decided for sure, but it'd be rough to pull it off at this point.

YES: Northern California Renaissance Faire. I don't know exactly when, but it's gonna happen. It's a long faire, so we have several weekends to choose from.

NO: Anything else. I'm actually not doing any other big conventions this year.

I think FC and AC are in the cards for next year, along with Califur, FWA (perhaps), and RF (perhaps). We'll see what else springs up at the last moment. :)

1) I have a very large and close family. On my dad's side, I have four first cousins; on my mom's, I have five. Consequently, every year I have four Christmases: Christmas Eve in Santa Rosa with my dad's extended family (13 people), Christmas morning in Santa Rosa at my parents' house (me, my mom, my dad, and my little brother), Christmas afternoon in Berkeley (16 people), and Christmas evening in Oakland (around 40 people).

2) I'm horrible at remembering names. This is particularly embarrassing when swing dancing, because I'll introduce myself to my dance partner, hear her name, and forget it before the fucking 3-minute song is over. If I see you around and don't remember your name, please don't take it personally.

3) I *love* receiving gift art of my characters. It makes me really, really, REALLY happy. But I almost always feel bad commissioning it—the feeling of saying "oh, I have money, draw me!" just doesn't work with my brain, no matter how much I try to rationalize it. Consequently, I don't have an awful lot of art of my characters.

4) I love citrus fruits. Lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerines, and especially oranges. I love putting salt on my grapefruit, no matter how much people look at me weird.

5) I've seen very little of America, or the world in general. In particular, I've been to seven states: California, Nevada, Washington, Hawaii, Colorado, Georgia, and Massachusetts. Most of those, other than California, have been stays for less than a week in one or two cities. This is something that I finally have the means to fix.

6) Since working at the high school snack bar, the only jobs I've had have been programming, including the new job I got two weeks ago. This is slightly embarrassing.

7)  ichiblack is my girlfriend; we've been together for over four years. We met in high school, but only got together after I graduated. We've been a long-distance relationship for 3 1/2 years, except our second year together, when we lived together in Berkeley.

8) It bothers me when things don't match, are inconsistent, out of place, or out of order. It's not an OCD-type thing, it just gets on my nerves. You'd think that would mean my apartment is clean; if you think that, you clearly haven't seen my apartment.

I know I don't have a lot of followers here, but can anyone point me in a direction of drama-free FWA roomies? I don't have a lot of "rules" or anything, I just want to ensure that I can show up, chip in, and sleep.
