Do you Play Super Mario Maker? Come play my levels!
Posted 10 years agoI love the hell out of that game. In case you haven't heard, Super Mario Maker is the result of one man going "hey, people mod our games despite us fighting them. Lets make make money off of them!" and the result was my inner game designer having a field day. I have made a couple worlds' worth of content. Currently they are in the New Super Mario Bros. U set, but they'll later get reworked into the Super Mario bros. 3 set.
With my worlds, the goal is to create a Mario game that feels like it was done by someone at Nintendo. Nothing "Kaizo".
Below are the Course IDs to play my levels. They are best experienced in order:
1-1: B0F4-0000-0028-0603
1-2: 817E-0000-0028-5304
1-3: A6FE-0000-0028-FBC6

4-1: A7F7-0000-004F-C807
Be sure to +Star them, and leave a comment! It'll allow me to make more levels for you! Check back here to see if new levels were added (or you can follow me)!
(My only gripe is there is no Tanooki suit...)

Sketchmissions All Over The Place
Posted 13 years agoSo I am looking to do sketchmissions to garner up cash.
Each sketch is $10/sketch with $5/each additional character.
Here's how it will work:
1: Send me a note with what you want (and your paypal address, so I can keep track of who's who).
2: I then will send you a note telling you if I approve, at this point the money is due.
3: I'll put your name in a slot. You cannot take up multiple slots, but you can have multiple sketches (up to 5).
4: Keep it nice and toony, nothing overly detailed and realistic.
5: There are a some things I won't draw. Gore, scat, and watersports are a few of those. If you're not sure, just ask.
6: You are free to upload the sketches to your page.
7: I will be uploading the sketches in "pages" with groups of sketches on them, but you can request to have yours on a separate page.
8: I reserve the right to refuse to do art for anyone who is aspiring to be the Commissioner from Hell.
9: Things may change at any time, including the number of slots of rules. Keep an eye on this space.
Slots:
1: Lostcat461
2: Hypr
3: Pantsuneko
4: Oliver

Sketch Streams, FC, Wahpocalypse
Posted 13 years agoSo recently I have been thinking of Sketch streams being more of a thing. Essentially, small streams where I do sketches and doodles for people on days before I go to work and some days off of work. Essentially it'd work like similar streams that I do of this nature: come in, get added to a queue, and when it's your turn I can doodle for you (after you pay, of course). It'll help me out a whoooole lot here, and I want to make it an actual normal thing (like a few days a week or more).
Eventually I want to get to the point where I can offer colored doodles or inks.
The second thing I want to do is actually make it to FC this year. If anyone wants a roomie and is staying in the main hotel and is wanting to give me an offer, feel free to give me a poke or two. I need a reason to work on my chubby Otter fursuit, anyway!
Also, sadly, the Wahpocalypse thing had to be cancelled, due to some things not being carefully planned and unavailable resources. Trust me, it's a good thing.

Hard Drive: Resurrection Complete

Hard Drive: Resurrection.
The way the stream works is as follows:
1: First come, first serve. Anyone who wants one will be added to a queue, which will be handled in order. If you aren't there on your turn, you will be skipped.
2: I will ask for what you want, and if I approve, I will begin sketching it.
3: Each sketch is $5. Additional characters are $3. Limit 1 additional character.
4: Each person may get up to 2 sketches. If you want more, you may queue up again.
5: I'll be drawing until I don't feel like it anymore, so I won't be getting everyone.
6: PLEASE do not send me notes about what you want or tell me what you want when it is not your turn. They will be ignored and may cause me to kick you to the back or knock you out of the queue.
Content
1: There are certain things I will not draw. Feel free to ask
2: These are silly fun cartoon sketches. Nothing overly detailed, nothing realistic.

Hard Drive Death! Oh Crap! Permadeath?! Noooo!
Posted 13 years agoSo my hard drive died in an epic blaze of failure the night before. While it died, it made a horrific high pitched noise (or a scream) before it passed away. It shall be missed. I'm now stuck with my laptop. It fortunately has some art programs installed and my tablet works. I need a replacement drive, and thus here I am.
In case you're wondering, it's a Seagate drive. 500 GB 7200 RPM. Sad to see it go.
The candidate for replacement? This sexy girl right here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16822148337
3 times the storage capacity? Double the cache?! And cheaper than my 500 GB drive?!
This means that I'll be having to open commissions of some kind to get the money for the replacement drive.
As for the details, I am still working those out. Watch this space for updates.

Sketchmission Art Stream
Posted 13 years ago$5 doodles, $10 inks. Feel free to drop in.
How it works:
People who want one will be put on a list, and will be done first come first serve.
I may not get to everyone tonight (Artists tire too), so people can only get one pic at a time. If the list is cleared and I still want to do more, feel free to ask for more.
Standard stream rules apply.

Late Night Streaming (Doodles for Donations)!
Posted 14 years agoAlright, starting up a later version of the Doodle For Donations stream. However, there are going to be a few changes to keep things smooth and easy.
First off, the info from before:
If you donate me $4 or more, you will get a request of your choosing. If you tip me less than $4 (0.01 - 3.99) then you will get a doodle, but I choose what is drawn instead. For every $4 given, you receive an additional doodle. There are some things I will not draw, and only one character per sketch. Additional characters cost a sketch.
And now, the additional rules:
-When I am ready, I will begin asking who is next. First come, first serve!
-As there are some things I will not draw, I will not draw realistic/realism. Expect toony toontastic things. Paint a big red fat bullseye on yourself, because you're going to get tooned up and toonified.
-When you are chosen, be ready to send me the cash to Paypal! Once I see the payment, I will then start on yours.
-Overall, just be patient!
And now, my stream: http://www.livestream.com/wontoonstoonsandthings

Doodles For Donations
Posted 14 years agoI was thinking of some things to get myself drawing again (and make a bit of extra money on the side). This is one of my ideas. So, sometime next week, I want to do what is called a "Doodles for Donations" stream. The Doodles for Donations is where I would stream requested doodles for people who decide to tip me for any amount.
Here is how it would work: If you tip me $4 or more, you will get a request of your choosing*. If you tip me less than $4 (0.01 - 3.99) then you will get a doodle, but I choose what is drawn instead. For every $4 given, you receive an additional doodle. That's all there is to it!
If this goes well, I want to see about making this a weekly or bi-weekly thing. Questions? Thoughts?
*Do note, as always, there are some things that I won't draw.
*Only one character per sketch!

How Would You Feel About a Tekken 6 Stream?
Posted 14 years agoFor a while now, I have been running tests and trying to get a Tekken 6 streaming setup going. Would any be interested in watching?
And before you ask, it's the PS3 version.
Edit: I can also do MvC3 and Super Street Fighter 4.

An Important Update About The Iron Artist
Posted 14 years agoI am adding 10 more slots to it, because someone someone was a naughty boy and grabbed more slots than he was supposed to. :P
(Actually I didn't catch it, so to even things out I added 10 so that people will have a fair shot)
Update: And there are four more slots open due to an error I made involving listing someone twice (Thanks for pointing out that error). Probably happened during a correction that I made.

So you're a quarter of a way there. What Did you learn, Won?
Posted 14 years agoSo I managed to slug through 28 inks in Iron Artist. Yes, 28 inks. Let me recap what I am trying to do with this Iron Artist....
I am generally using this Iron Artist here to actually improve myself and my efficiency and quality with my inking. Now I could easily have drawn 100 Wontoons, but that would mean that I probably would be able to draw Wontoon efficiently. So, the challenge is to try to ink 100 different things, in hopes that I can easily spot these things and level up (or at least gain experience) them. Let me put it this way: I am not happy until the bugs are stamped.
Now, I fought through 28 images. You saw it all, my ups and downs. What did I learn from this adventure? What flaws are there that need to be ironed?
Drafting
I have to thank
rawr for this one. Quite often I tend to make really detailed sketches before inks. Okay, I ALWAYS make detailed sketches before inks, which causes me to draw the same picture twice. There is a much simpler method, the draft, which requires me to do much less work. However, I find that I am much much, MUCH more prone to structural errors when doing these since absolute perfection is an afterthought and instead a base model is needed to work off of (instead of the sketch, where everything is completely laid out, perfected, and ready to ink over). If I can control myself as well as my sketches, it would mean that this would be done much better.
The Absurdly Powerful Laser Sighted Sniper's Critical Eye
This is where things get really fucked. When I do an image, ANY image, this eye looks for anything that seems to be off. Anything, even a minute single pixel in a field of a million pixels that everyone else seems to miss. I try to do my best and ensure that everything is nice and perfect, but it comes with the price of being one nitpicky son of a bitch toward my own art. Such nitpicking is a real double-edge sword; for one it can ensure that I can create something that I am proud of, but at the same time it can lead to absurd amounts of frustration. Wait, hold that thought--
Frustration and Breakdowns from Catching Myself Making Too Many Mistakes
And this is where things get a little shaky and can really slow me down, or even hit a dead end. I can't tell you how many times I just wanted to stop a stream because I was so close to throwing my tablet through a wall after catching myself making too many mistakes, reminded of how much of an amateur I am compared to those artists* I aspire to and those I watched. This is a side effect of the nitpicking at critical mass, and could possibly vanish...
*Compared To Other Artists?
Before you read this the wrong way, I am not trying to/caring to/aiming to be the next OMG Popufur Artist! In fact I will completely deny it if someone says I am "popufur". What I mean is that I see something that I never was able to do: nail the placement of lines when inking with accuracy. Well, that's in my mind anyway; I always seem to hiccup in areas whereas others do not. I would simply love to be able to get my ideas done, and not fall into frustration that others don't seem to have. I also fear and worry that I take too long.
Well, that's on my mind. If I even want to improve efficiency, I really have to beat those mental roadblocks (or find a workaround). I don't care if you are a a pro that is skilled with the paintbrush that is imbued with the spirit Michelangelo himself or a newbie who is starting out; I'd love to hear your thoughts.
