Bizarre Beasts and health update

Hello creatures! Just updating in case anyone is wondering where the next chapter of Bizarre Beasts is.
I am still working on the comic, progress has just been slow as I have been dealing with some life stuff, mental health and physical health has been getting in the way a bit.
Mental health is its usual patchy-ness, but being in pain has been taking a lot out of me.
I recently got diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, again. Not sure what size this one is. The last one was 10cm at its peak before it popped before my operation to remove it.
Worst pain I’ve ever had to deal with, I honestly thought I was dying.
It's a bit frustrating to be dealing with it again. I'm going to be talking with doctors soon on where to go from here.
I have some pages done for the next chapter but not enough to post consistently. Tempting to just post them when they are done instead of posting them in batches. We will see.
Trying my best, personal art has helped me cope and stay sane a bit while mental and physical health wobbles about. Motivation to work on the comic isn’t always there and can be a bit intimidating at times, but I am trying to get past that hurdle.
Sorry to anyone waiting, just wanted to let people know the comic isn’t dead!

I will be working on Chapter 7 of Bizarre Beasts in the new year of course, I’ll update when I can start posting again.
Thanks for the good year, it’s been stressful at times, but I am grateful for the good I have around me and things are thankfully more settled now.

Art Fight and Comic
Posted a year agoHey all! Small update to say I'll be participating in Art Fight as usual, though I may not end up revenging all the art I get because it was a lot on me last year. I'll see how I do and do as much as I can without running myself into the ground.
Comic is being worked on as always, and I'll start posting again when Art Fight is over, I'll give an exact date closer to the time.

Hello everyone!
Here’s an update to say that Bizarre Beasts: Land of Lonbark chapter 6 will be back on the 10th of November!
I’m going to be posting 2 pages every Friday like usual, with a total of 12 pages (plus cover) until the 15th of December. At that point the chapter will be on break. I’m not sure when I’ll be posting the rest but I’m working on it!

Helloo!
Little update to say I am indeed still working on chapter 6 of Bizarre Beasts, as I have had some people asking where the next chapter is.
Work on the chapter got put on hold while I participated in Art Fight, there is no way I could do both and not just run myself into the ground. Art Fight takes a lot out of me energy-wise!
I still have a lot of work to do but I am working hard on it, just going to need more time to get enough pages done to actually post consistently.
Thanks for the interest in my work and hope anyone looking here is doing ok!

Small update to say I am indeed still alive and working on Bizarre Beasts.
Progress has been a little slow as mental health is hard but I’m getting there slowly, hoping I can start posting again sometime next month!

Bizarre Beasts posting schedule update!

Just a small update, as there are some changes to my comic posting schedule.
As I said previously I was planning on potentially taking a break after page 14 was posted, but I’m now extending that to page 22.
This means December 2nd will be my last comic update for the year as I take a break. December is likely going to suck a bit for me but I’ll be back to posting when I can. I currently don’t have much of a buffer for pages so might take a little longer to be able to post regularly again. But we shall see! I'll try get a move on and get the pages done faster.

Bizarre Beasts: Land of Lonbark Chapter 5 News

Hellooo all!
As some may have noticed, I didn’t start posting chapter 5 last month like I was hoping to. I’ve been working hard to get things going but it’s been a bit tricky, a mixture of issues with wrist pain (which thankfully is a lot better now) and burnout from drawing so much during July.
Things are starting to feel a bit more normal when it comes to art now, but I’m still struggling to draw enough pages that I would be able to stay ahead of me posting them and not get to a point where I’d run out of pages to post.
So! I’m going to start posting on the 23rd of September, but this will be a “batch” of pages. I will post 2 pages every week like I usually do, but once I get to page 14 (November 4th) there may be a break again before I can post again. It could end up that I can keep posting and there won’t be a need for a gap in posting if I can get enough pages done in time, but I think this might work better for me as trying to keep to a stricter schedule in posting was definitely stressing me out before.

Art Fight aftermath, small Woozel update.

Hellooooo all! Hope you are all doing well :)
As you could probably tell by the spam of art last month, I was pretty busy with Art Fight! Managed 30 pieces this year and ow boy my wrist hates me.
I still feel like I wasn’t able to do all I wanted to, and spent most of my time playing catch-up trying to revenge people who attacked me. I'd like to be able to do more random attacks on people but I’d feel bad leaving people without revenges, it’s tricky. I got attacked a lot this year!
Now that Art Fight is done I can try and get back to a more normal routine art wise. I’m working on chapter 5 for Bizarre Beasts again though wrist pain is definitely slowing me down.
I was hoping to be able to start posting chapter 5 this month, but I’m unsure if I can meet that deadline. But we shall see!
Other than that, real life stuff could also get in the way of Chapter 5, but I’m hoping that isn’t too disruptive. I need surgery and I'm currently on the waiting list for it. This is just a small update on what I’m working on currently.

• More studies and improving my art in general.
I’m not sure when Chapter 5 will be ready to start being posted but I’ll make an update when I can.
Last chapter I did struggle to keep up with it as I had art block/burnout/whatever it was keeping me from keeping up, I try to make sure I have a buffer of completed pages so it’s ok if I have off days and don’t draw so much, but I ended up eating through the buffer to the point I didn’t have one towards the end of the chapter which wasn’t great!
I’ll likely try to give myself more of a buffer this time, I also have some mini story type things I want to work on for more backstory of curtain characters. But I need to also try not to overwork myself and run myself into a rut again.
Other than that, I hope everyone peering here is doing well!

I’m going to start posting Bizarre Beasts: Land of Lonbark Chapter 4 on the 24th of September and from there I’ll be posting every Friday till it’s done.
I’ll be posting 2 pages each Friday like before though on the 24th this will include the cover page + pages 1 and 2.

First of all a small update on chapter 4 for Bizarre Beasts: Land of Lonbark, I’m currently working on it of course but I have unfortunately been a bit slow due to some mental health issues. I’m still making progress though and wanted to know people’s opinions on how I post the comic.
Currently I have long-ish breaks between posting chapters and then post the new chapter pages every Friday until the chapter is done.
I'm curious about people’s opinions on different posting schedules such as posting in chunks (posting chunks of the comic every Friday and then breaks in between chunks).
Chapter 4 is fairly long (50 pages + cover page) so I could post it in two or three chunks and not have to worry so much about falling behind with posting potentially.
I may not necessarily change how I post Bizarre Beasts as I do like having consistent posting schedules, but it was something I was thinking about so opinions are welcome on this!

Just a small update to say I’m working on chapter 3 for Bizarre Beasts: Land of Lonbark, there have been a few delays due to real life stress but I’m slowly making progress.
I’m hoping to be able to start posting pages again on January 1st, and from there updates every Friday like usual. The amount of pages will likely vary a bit again and the possibility for some days missed, though I haven’t missed a day yet!
