Rest in peace, Carrie Fisher.
General | Posted 9 years agoYou were a princess, a general, an activist, and so much more, but now you've passed. Drowned in Moonlight, strangled by your own bra. May the Force be with you, Princess. We'll miss you.
Rest in Peace, Alan Rickman.
General | Posted 10 years agoWe will remember you. Always.
Well, here we go again.
General | Posted 10 years agoSo, long story short, my retina detached again a couple months ago, kinda sucks, but it wasn't as bad this time. I'm (hopefully) near the end of the healing process, but I've still got one more surgery tomorrow to take out the silicon oil used to keep my retina in place while it healed. After that it'll probably take a few weeks before I'm recovered, so I figured I'd write this journal before rather than after. I'll try to get around to writing a journal on what I've actually been up to after I've healed.
Wish me luck, all.
Wish me luck, all.
Merry Christmas, all!
General | Posted 10 years agoTitle says it all. Merry Christmas, Joyous Yuletide, Season's Greetings of all kinds. I hope you all had a wonderful 2015, my furry friends, and that you all have a happy New Year.
My dreams are weird.
General | Posted 11 years agoLast night I dreamt that I, my family, and John Hurt, were on the run from John Malkovich. John Malkovich shot John Hurt, so I dropped a building on him.
So yeah... Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I'm baaaack!
General | Posted 11 years agoEeyup. Back from Washington. Spent about three months there, minus the two weeks spent driving, and it was a blast! I got to see old friends and my family, familiar faces and places, it was awesome.
Those three months were also pretty significant beyond just having fun. I started practicing doing voices and imprsssions again, I made plans to work on my singing voice plus my dancing skills, I fixed two of my longest standing literary education gaps, (Paragraphs and dialog tags) I realized how much happier I could be with a little work on my social insecurities. I got a ton of drawing practice, I got a bunch of work done on story concepts old and new, and revitalized my motivation to actually use them. Really, it was just all around fantastic.
So yeah, I'm feeling pretty great. Tomorrow I'm going to set up a Khan academy account and put some more work into my education, then I'm going to take the first steps to making some new friends around this crazy ol' internet. Then I'll see about uploading some of my art I never got around posting.
Well, that's about it, G'night!

ComicCon report
General | Posted 12 years agoA week late, but whatever.
ComicCon was fantastic! The costumes, the references, the vendors, it was wonderful. I saw well over eighty different cosplays that I recognized, I saw dozens of t-shirts that made me laugh, I got a fez, some t-shirts of my own, and a book signed by Kevin J. Anderson. Plus, I got to see the original Delorean, a landspeeder, and the Chevy Impala from Supernatural! I do somewhat regret not seeing any of the celebrity guest panels, particularly Kevin J. Anderson's and Nathon Fillion's, but the epic artwork, crafts, and cool people I got to see, were more than worth it.
I cannot wait for next year!

Random dream journal.
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, basically, I think I just had the best dream ever. I don't remember exactly what happed, but it involved Doctor Who, time-travelling Jedi, dinosaurs, ponies, and Hank Green.
Hello, Fur Affinity!
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm still here, I'm just very very quiet. Sorry abiut that, and my sincerest apologies for not commenting enough.
Today, I write this journal in three parts, why I've been so quiet, what I've done lately, and some awesome things I've found in my travels through the internet.
Part one: where I've been.
Nowhere, really, but my phone has been misbehaving, and I do not wish to use my computer to access FA because reasons.
Part two: what I've done.
Lots of stuff, I saw the Doctor Who 50th anniversary, which was awesome, I finished an art project that took a stupidly long time, I had an epic Thanksgiving with lots of tasty sandwiches, and a few other things I don't remembet at the moment.
Part three: awssome stuff.
The first awesome thing I'd like to put here is my all time favorite Youtube channel, the
Vlogbrothers. Created by Hank and John Green in 2007 it's basically just made of
awesome, go check it out.
The second awesome thing is a loan service called Kiva.org, which people online can use
to donate to entrepreneurs and students, and ninety percent of the time the loan is paid back. And if you're new to Kiva.org,
your first donation is free. Awesome.
I will update this list later, but for now, sorry for the random wall of text, I haven't made a journal in months, and I really
needed to write something.
G'bye all you wonderful furs!

Yesterday was my Birthday.
General | Posted 12 years agoIt was awesome. We made pizza and delicious cake, tomorrow we're going try to make a chocolate Star Destroyer, and now I have two new sci-fi shows to watch!
Detached retinas, they kinda suck.
General | Posted 13 years agoSo, while visiting my grandmother in illinois, I had a partial retinal detachment in my left eye and had to come back to Texas to get it treated. All fine now, we caught it in time, just have to wait for the retina to heal and the gas bubble to dissipate. unfortunately, said gas bubble will prevent me from drawing for a while, so any ideas for things to draw to help me get back into practice would be welcome, as long as they're not too complex.
Suggestions?
General | Posted 13 years agoErgh, I can't think of anything interesting to draw, and I'm going on a trip to Arizona soon! Someone give me ideas!
Muhahaha!
General | Posted 13 years agoI finally finished drawing the backround for that freaking wolf! At last I have moved on!
I've been drawing the picture seen here:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9256715/
For two hours every Wednesday since mid-September, minus a few for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I'm finally done with it!
I'm not sure if I should post the newest version since my camera is so terrible you'd barely know the difference, soo... Thoughts?
Oh, also, I got a totally awesome icon from
rainny! Thank you so much rainny!

General Update
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, the procedure yesterday went off without a hitch, and my vision is better than ever!
On a much less significant note, if you've ever wondered what happens when I actually draw something, I've started uploading stuff to my DeviantART account!
Be warned, I have neither the knowledge nor the means to scan my artwork, so you'll have to deal with my shoddy camera work.

Oh, and it turns out my eye touch-up is next week, yesterday was just tests and stuff.
