First up, Cashew. Woo.

so I've been sorta playing around with her a little more (groan) and have considered a few things. a) she's going to have hoof feet and paw hands, and the deer tail.

She has a big silver jingle bell on a rope around her neck for communication, when she communicates verbally it's in goat bleats.

She carries around a giant apple slice in her pouch.

I've also been playing around with the idea of giving her those weird bug eye things? Compound eyes or something? I'm not sure, lol.

My other possible change is instead of wings on her back, maybe giving her arm wings like a lot of bat suits have. idk.

She's also easily startled and is prone to fainting when sneaked up on.

oh and I finally made my pony OC too.

1) fursuit matters

First off, I've decided to hold off for a year on getting Cashew..for a couple of reasons.

It's no secret that I'm kinda...indecisive. I don't want to start something I might be unhappy with, so I'm giving myself time to make adjustments and flesh out her character a bit more before I drop money on a fursuit.

also I'd like to get a bit more in shape.

so I've fleshed out a bit about her personality. I'll be posting a sort of bio about her on my other account, Nimdok.

2) I'll be outta town for the next week and a half, with no internet access and limited phone access.

3) what makes a species? I've been thinking about that with Cashew. She's not really anything special as far as species goes...but what can you do about that? I don't think I'm creative enough to make an entirely new species, idk.

a) my email locked me out because of some 'enhanced security' bullshit with Windows 8 and idk how to fix it. So Shar, I wanted to post here to alert you that PB will be shipped out this tuesday. I'm really sorry about the delay, paypal took out 5% from all your deposits so I have to wait until I get paid to pay for the shipping (Paypal is leaving me with $598). She's packed up now, and I don't work on Tuesday so I'll be able to ship her out for sure.

I'm kinda sad about seeing her go, but there're a lot of reasons I just can't keep her. I have my suit maker picked out for Cashew..now to wait..and save. I still have a moving fox tail w/ harness to sell..sand a few other random items (a guitar, maybe a wiiu)..

I just sent a quote to Beastcub about getting a head and pair of wings. If all goes well, hopefully I'll be commissioning her!

if that happens, tail and arm sleeves will come from Shagpoke and the feet will come from Matrices.

Partial with wings by Beastcub.
Bodysuit by That's Furred Up!
Alternate hands and feet will be by Matrices.

So um..yeah. It's going to be interesting, that's for sure.


So I'm looking around at the fursuit makers I like most, trying to decide how I'm going to go about getting my own made. I'm come to a few conclusions but I'm not sure what to pick.

1) Get an entire suit from Beastcub.
2) Get an entire suit from Ruffled Designs (who knows how expensive this option would be..)
3) get just a head from Beastcub and have Matrices make the rest.
4) Otter.n.daughter (only thing I don't like is their ear styles)
5) Totally Frankenstein-ing a suit. (Head and wings from BC probably, body from That's Furred Up, hands and feet and tail from Matrices..)

Pros of Beastcub:
-Really cute
-Moving jaw
-Well known maker (no shady business)

Cons of Beastcub:
-bodysuit alone is over 1k
-has a more realistic style
-would be charged out the ass for extra markings (probably just a thing I'll have to deal with regardless)

Pros of Ruffled Designs:
-fucking love their suits
-wonderful digigrade
-wonderful feet (omg those pawpads)
-they seem super friendly
-well known artist (again, no shady business)

Cons of Ruffled Designs:
-dear god I can only imagine the price tag (but maybe that's okay because it'd be a kickass suit)
-aren't open any time soon
-idk if they'll use parts from other makers (I really love DVC hooves and cloppers)

Pros of Beastcub / Matrices:
-head would have all the parts I want
-body would be significantly cheaper
-Matrices has kickass feet too

Cons of Beastcub / Matrices:
-Matrices only does plantigrade suits right now (could maybe ask..)
-Beastcub's eye style might not work well for the big oval-y pupil-less eyes
-The wings might be a problem
-idk if Matrices uses other people's parts

Pros of Otter.n.daughter:
-Suits are cute.
-I think her style could work well with the eyes.
-Uses DVC parts.
-Less expensive than Beastcub or Ruffled.

Cons of Otter.n.daughter:
-less well known artist
-doesn't have as many examples
-doesn't like using DVC cloppers
-I don't like her ear style.

It was a lot of fun, and I'm going to really miss her. But getting a personal suit made is so exciting...just have to find someone to make it now. x.x

Especially the Hot Topic exclusive ones, which are the show accurate colorings--local HT only got two boxes and they were gone before the week was over, then they were taken off the site.

I get paid in a week and I plan on heading down and buying as many of them as I can.

Oh, and AJ and Big Mac are here in vinyl form! I can't wait to get them, either. Spitfire and Bon Bon are both getting their chase variants, and supposedly the nex SDCC exclusives are going to be Shadowbolt RD and some new take on Vinyl Scratch.

So I've decided to just compile a list of the characters I still consider mine. I'm not labeling any of them as my fursona, but here is a list of what I still consider mine.

So I still haven't received the partial I payed for back in the earlier part of December.

The payment was made two days after the auction ended as promised. The suit was ready to be shipped, but the feet it came with were 2x larger than my feets.

So I sent a pair of my own shoes as substitutes for new feet to be built off.

They got lost in the mail.

They were found a little while after New Years and I was like yay okay so my suit should be here in a few weeks!

Except it's now the end of February, and the event that I had planned to unveil her at is this Saturday.

The feet still aren't done.

I understand that it takes time to make quality work and I wouldn't expect everything to be dropped just to get my feet done..

but I'll be pretty heart broken this weekend when the people I promised would get to see PB at this weekend's NukeCon are disappointed.

It's just incredibly frustrating and I need a hug.
