I recently got a new job and I've been getting a lot of hours, not by choice. ;w;
I've also been working 6 days a week with only 1 day off a week and it's been hard for me to get all my errands finished/plus work on owed art.

Posted 9 years agoSo I guess I'll address that, yes I'm back from my little hiatus again, somewhat. I have been drawing a lot lately and feel like I'm back into the mood to start working on stuff again.

I'll be going this year with my friend, nayrudragon and a friend of hers. We have a fun group cosplay planned for Saturday, but I don't wanna give any hints, cause I'm super excited to wear it. >w< This will be my first group cosplay!! Yay!
So, anyone who is going and wanna hit me up so we can chat or just hang out for awhile, let me know and I'll exchange info with you so we can keep in touch this weekend. I won't be bringing any art supplies with me this year just to ease up the burden of carrying a lot around with me, especially since our hotel is 30mins away this year and it would be a bother to lug around so much supplies.
I do plan on cosplaying all 3 days, Friday I'll be cosplaying as Chii from Chobits. Dunno who for Sunday yet, but I might just do my newest cosplay for 2 days, just cause I'm super excited to finally have this character in my wardrobe, hehe. >w<
Anyways, once I get settled in at the con. I'll post what pictures I can so you can keep up with Mir's shenanigans. x3

I'm Back
Posted 10 years agoI'm back, my sweetest strawberries! ♥ Did you miss me? >//w//<
So, moving is a lot more work then I thought it would be. xD Or maybe it was just this move since we've accumulated a lot more stuff over the years.
It was also a bit of a snag in our moving plan when we found out how nasty the carpets were. =.= When we first looked at the apartment, they had just finished painting, so all we smelled was paint. But after we started moving stuff over and it got warm inside, we could smell animal really bad. x.x Like, to the point that my husband flipped out and basically said he wanted to shampoo all the carpets, EVEN after the landlord had said they had it professionally cleaned. >.> He had just started and the water in the shampooer was black and it was picking up cat hair and kitty litter, ewww. That ate up a lot of our moving time, cause we couldn't move stuff over while it was wet.
We ended up complaining to the landlord and they are replacing the carpet in our bedroom, but won't be able to replace the other carpets until they build up some funds, I dunno. Zai started ripping it up, cause the landlord made it seem like they were gonna replace it right away, but now it seems it'll just be whenever....so half of our bedroom is without carpet now, BUT the good thing with that, it's killed alot of the animal smell. So that shows you how bad the carpet was. *shudders* We've pretty much killed a majority of the smell from shampooing it again, but we have air fresheners up and have been spraying Frebreeze into the carpets to keep the odor down, which out of the few people who have come over since we moved, they haven't really smelled animal, so that's a good thing. ^^/) Yay!
The apartment isn't completely put back into place yet or I would show you guys, but once it is decent I'll take pictures so you can see Mir's new home. >w<
We did go buy new furniture, a living room set along with a new tv for the living room. We'll be getting a few more new stuff like a dresser for my hubby, end tables, lamps, and a new dining table with chairs.
But as of now, we've been slowly putting away the small stuff. I think we're to a point though that I can start putting up stuff for Christmas. Really didn't feel like December came since we were moving and I had to put all that on the backburner till we moved over. We are gonna get a new Christmas tree since our old one had seen better days and since we have a bigger place, we can have one that goes on the floor, rather than on a table. xD Which I'm excited for, I've never have a full sized tree before.
But, with that I am back and will resume working on art asap. I need to catch up a bit since I've been without internet for a bit. xD

Small Hiatus

I just wanted to announce I'm taking a small hiatus. I'm currently in the process of moving to a new apartment, so all my time will be tied up in packing/moving/unpacking.
I might be able to hop on and answer any comments you guys leave me, but as far as artwork goes, I'll have to take a break from it.
Probably around the end of this week, I should be done moving, but my internet service will be transferred to the new apartment and I might be without internet for a couple days. But once I get settled in and whatnot, I'll let you guys know. I'll even give you a little tour of the new place. >w<

I feel like crap
Posted 10 years agoThis has got to be the worst week for me in a long time...like, seriously everything crappy is happening and really I can't do anything about it.
First off, I've been sick for a week or so now, though I think it's starting to finish up running it's course, but it's still crappy, coughing so hard your throat hurt and your voice cracks.
Second, I haven't been able to go to work all week due to my client being in the hospital. I showed up Mon for work and she wasn't home, so I called the office to have them see if they could call her, they got no answer so they sent me home for the day.
I go back on Tues, same thing, no answer. A neighbor saw me and told me she was in the hospital, so I called the office and told them and they tried calling again, still no reply so they told me to go home for the day and not go back to my client's till they call me and inform me that she's out of the hospital.
On Thurs we call in our hours for the week, well I told them I had 2 hours of show up time, 1 hour for Mon and 1 for Tues, they basically told me they don't offer show up time pay, even though...in my training the trainer told us we would get 1 hour show up time if our client wasn't home and we had showed up for our scheduled work time. So, granted it would have been a whole 16 USD for the 2 hours, they are refusing to pay me they time that I was there, waiting. =w=
Then, the other day I lost my wallet somewhere or is was stolen, I'm not sure. I always keep my wallet in my purse and I know I had it that day.
We had stopped at Zai's brother's house to visit and while we were inside, the car door was left open where my purse was laying on the floor of the car. I never noticed it was missing till the next day when I was cleaning out my purse, my wallet was missing. It's a rather big wallet, so it's hard to miss. We've looked everywhere for it, can't find it. I asked Zai's brother's fiancee to look and see if I dropped it on the ground, though I'm sure if I did I would have heard it or even seen it since it's so big.
The only other conclusion I can come to is that someone saw the car door open, went and looked and took it that way. But, you'd think they'd take the whole purse or even my cellphone since it was in there too, but I dunno.
I lost my driver's license, bank card, insurance cards, social security card, and many other things that was in my wallet. Plus it was a fairly new wallet and I really liked it a lot. ;w;
Now I have to go get new everything and it's just such a long process.
I literally just wanna crawl into a ball and cry. Nothing is going right for me and I just feel like crap about all of it. But yeah, sorry for the rant/vent journal. I'm just super upset with myself and everything else that's lead to this crappy chain of events. T^T

Today is my husband's birthday and tomorrow is our 1 year wedding anniversary. >w<

He had me log onto FFXIV and in my mail waiting for me, was the item to start the quests for the Eternal Bond quests. >w<
I’m so happy! ♪
Once we finish the quest stuffs, I’ll start inviting people who would like to join us for our wedding.
Gonna aim for or as close as possible to our actual wedding anniversary date, which is September 27. owo

Another Year Older
Posted 10 years agoSoon it'll be that time again...my birthday. xD This Friday to be exact. o3o
These years seem to fly by...>.> Or maybe so much is happening in my life that it makes the time pass quickly, I dunno.
Anyways, I know I'm still not being very active on here...blame the new expansion for FFXIV, Heavensward...if you follow my tumblr, I'm always posting screenshots on it from the game. xD I'm such a loser now. =w=
As for my birthday, plans haven't been fully decided, it really all depends on the weather. What I do know for sure, is there will be cake and ice cream. :o And presents! xD
I'm getting a new graphics card for sure, I've been begging for it for awhile now. >.>;; Dunno what else if anything else, I'm happy enough with that.
I honestly have tried my best to start up my art. I was sketching a lot there for awhile before *coughcough* the expansion for 14 came out. >.>;; Buuuuut...these things happen.
I'm hoping once the hype for it dies down I can get my butt in gear and start working on stuff.

I'm sorry for the random Hiatus
Posted 10 years agoI know I kinda just up and disappeared and I wanna apologize for that.
To be honest, I had become overwhelmed with the workload I had and just lost all motivation and was totally burned out on drawing. Even now, I'm still not fully motivated to work on anything.
Every once in awhile I'll get the urge to draw something, but it leaves as quickly as it hits me.
So I can't say for sure when I'll start uploading art again. I have a finished piece from a contest I entered like, months ago I could upload, though the content is a bit outdated since it was for Valentine's day, but it was the last piece I completed before having a full on art block.
I also have been working off an on, on a collab that Shurei90 on dA, has been patiently waiting on me to complete. But, I've not been able to fully dedicate myself to working on something for very long at all, I dunno what's wrong with me. =.=
Anyways, I'm hoping to get over it soon cause it's driving me crazy that I haven't worked on like anything in ages and I feel bad for not updating here at all about leaving suddenly.
I worried a lot of people and I feel bad for that.
I assure you guys, I'm doing well, just having artist problems. :p
I hope to see all my little strawberries soon, just wait on me. ♥

New Original Species

I've had a new original species in mind to create for awhile, I already have the name for them planned out as well and how their basic design will work.
I plan on introducing them soon, but my only question about them is...should I make them a closed or open species?
I already have one closed species, my Furutsunomimis. Having another wouldn't be bad either, but I kinda wanna give you guys a chance to make something from what I've created.
Plus I'd love to see what you guys would design if I let you run with the idea. >w<

So...
Posted 11 years agoIf you remembered at the beginning of October I had posted about losing my job, but then I had my job reinstated.
Well, Monday morning, right before it was time to clock out, my manage called me to follow him down to HR.
They said there was an issue with an EKG I had performed and a doctor had complained about it.
A lead placement was off or something, so it ended up reading the rhythm wrong and the doctor was very unhappy about it.
So because of this, they said they were gonna have to terminate my job.
Which mean I'm again, without a job and right before Christmas at that. :/
What gets me is, us nursing assistants aren't trained to read the rhythms after the EKGs are performed. We hand them to the nurses, they look them over and place them in the patient's chart.
So how is it I'm the only one to blame in this, if there was an issue with the placement, you'd think the nurse would have noticed, said something and I could have redone it.
I've been doing these tests for 3 years and I've never had one complaint.
I know for a fact, the reason this was such a big issue is just cause my manager was looking for a reason to can me. Especially after I got my job back after last time he tried to fire me.
But unfortunately, I can't get my job back this time. Especially since a doctor is involved and it's a doctor that tends to complain and is very strict.
Zai told me not to worry about it and that I wouldn't need to get a job right away cause he makes enough and then some to support us.
So with me getting unemployment and my art, we should be good financially.
To be honest, I'm glad I don't work there now. Ever since the last issue I had, I've been paranoid every night I worked, afraid that I would get called into my manager's office for something else petty.
Now I don't have to worry or stress over it.
I did cry, but not so much crying over the place I worked, it was more for the friends I had made there and the fact I worked so hard to keep that job and now it's gone.
I would have posted sooner about this, but I've been busy with Christmas shopping and getting ready for the holiday to have much time online.
The good thing is, I'll have plenty of time to get caught up on my artwork. I hope to get everything I owe done and then some.
I'm so happy I have such an understanding and supportive husband, he really is great. He told me not to worry and just enjoy the time off an enjoy my art, gaming, whatever I feel like doing.
But I just wanted to let you guys know my situation. If an issue comes up with us lacking funds for bills or whatnot, I'll have to do something to make some quick money to help Zai pay for stuff just cause my unemployment isn't going to be for much.
I'm done now, I'm tired. I ran all today getting gifts and spent my evening wrapping presents. =.=
