Something I haven't done in a while.
Posted a week agoI wrote porn. I haven't really done that since I was in my late teens / early 20's, so like ~30 years ago. Not my usual fare to be sure. I know I don't post to this place much, but I still peek in now and again, and I still intend to be here more when I can get my head screwed on better.
To anyone that still reads my journals, bless you. Hopefully it won't always be so weird to see me post something here.

Posting new stuff
Posted 2 years agoSo I actually did it, I've put some new stuff up for the first time in .... I don't know how many years. A lot.
I've been doing the "photo a day" thing, some of those are probably going to make their way here, we'll see how ti goes.

Oops.
Posted 2 years agoSo recently I've actually been doing some photography again. It's been a while and like anyone starting back into something they haven't really put much effort into for some time it's off to a slightly rough start. But I have been consistently creating new work, and I have some better equipment that I've been enjoying learning to use.
That said, I completely forgot to post any of that new work here. I'm going to have to change that. I know I've said that before and then not done anything, but this time I'm actually already doing stuff, so it's not a matter of not getting to it, it's just a matter of bringing the work that's already done here.
I won't say I'm back, because every time I do that like the ghost I seem to have become I disappear again. Instead I'll say, "If I can find the time and the free brain cells, I'll make something happen."
Cheers.

Something a little darker
Posted 3 years agoSo remember that I was having an issue with getting the print on my typewriters to show up dark enough, fixed that. :). I wanted to get it before I really started putting too much more out there, but now that it's covered, it's time to keep on movin' forward!
Video cards at a decent price
Posted 3 years agoI know right now a lot of folks are trying to find a decent video card that isn't $1000 over MSRP. Right now NewEgg has an RTX 2060 12gb for $499. Just thought I'd let y'all know.

Thinking about a new project
Posted 4 years agoI've been tossing around a new project, not sure where I want to do it or how I want to right now, but I'm thinking it might end up at least in part on here.
I love typewriters, I've always loved them. And I kind of want to share that love on here and maybe get myself back in the swing of researching and writing a little more. So I've been thinking, maybe I can bring these two things together on here. I've had a project in mind where either I think of a topic, or (if / when enough people are interested) I take other people's suggestions for topics and either research them, or write a short story using them. The main work of it being done on typewriter, then uploaded here like in the little story I just posted. (Yeah, I know the scanner kind of over blew the image, I need to find a way to fix that).
I want this to be something kind of interactive, where it's not just me making a thing, it's also you all putting ideas out there and me working them up. Maybe say once every week or two depending on how much work I have to do to put things together and how much time I have to work on them.
Let's see where this goes.
Cheers

Poking around.
Posted 4 years agoJust sticking my nose about here and there again. It's been a long time since I was really on any furry sites all that much. Not sure how many people are still here that I'd remember, or that remember me.
Anyway, hello again furry world. :).

7 years...
Posted 5 years agoSo I just looked and it seems like it's been about 7 years since I wrote anything on here other than the occasional and some how surprising revelation that I've been away for a while. I keep thinking I'll reengage with this place, and other places but I'm not going to do the usual "more to come" post because clearly while I might have the best of intentions I don't always get there.
I have noticed myself nosing around this site a little more lately though than I have in many years, and I always have the itch to create. So maybe if things go well and I can manage to get a few of my brain cells to fire off in the right direction who knows. But expectations are low. Between dealing with the pandemic and other things I've been quasi-dysfunctional.
Consider this more a wave on the way by. Hope y'all are doing well!
Cheers!

Small update, 1/21/18
Posted 8 years agoThings have been pretty busy the first part of the year here, I had some stuff that I actually wanted to do for the end of 2017, beginning of 2018 but it got sidelined by some financial issues and my boyfriend Xan getting his foot run over by a forklift at work. He's going to be alright, got off really lucky so far as far as things like that go,
But between taking care of him and other things on my mind it's kept my head out of hte creative space for a bit. I am however getting back into it. So new stuff soon, :)
Cheers.

First new post in a long time.
Posted 8 years agoFinally starting to get my head back into something of a creative space. It's taken a while but I just got to the point where I needed to start making it happen. I've been burried in the every day BS of trying to survive for so long that my creativity has basically been dysfunctional. So I've started making it a point to just pull out a camera and spend some time either infront of or beind it every day. This doesn't mean I produce something every day that I feel needs to be shared, but at least it makes me spend a little time in a creative headspace so I will hopefully not stagnate anymore.
Life happens.
Posted 8 years agoI posted about 4 months ago, (Wow, it really WAS that long!), that I was going to try and do more stuff here. Well, life happened. I've just been crazy busy. Just got back from a 5000 mile road trip, (work), which has been pretty much what's been eating my time.
I've also been dealing with hardware failures because most of my computer equipment is ancient. Managed to bring my old PC back to life one more time with an infusion of parts from my boyfriend's computer when it gave out. I was down to just a phone and tablet for a while. Though I have learned that I can do a surprisingly large amount on just a tablet. Internet has also been an issue as I haven't really had home internet since I went OTR. But that's going to change here in the not too distant future.
So yeah, TLDR I just got too busy to do much anything else but work, and hardware problems galore.
Also, is it just me, or did FA change a LOT while I was away? o.O
Anyway...
Till next time.

It's been a long time.
Posted 8 years agoI haven't used this site on the regular in a couple years. In a way, I've stepped back from the whole fandom. I've kind of steped back from everything, life does that now and again. I was also admittedly less than thrilled with some things here, but in the end this is kind of like the Facebook of Furry, so it's where everyone eventually comes back to, nomatter how they feel about it.
So here we are. It's heading on half way through 2017, and my hiatus from this site is over.
I've never really used the journaling part of this site much either, maybe I'll change that too.

First time in a long time I've written.
Posted 11 years agoSo yeah, it's been ages since I've really done any writing, at least as far as putting it out there on the web for anyone to see. But I saw a drawing by
Keovi that planted an idea in my head. And This, ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14954438/ ) is what came out.
I didn't spend a lot of time working it over, I just wanted to do a quick, raw story and let my mind just spill out into text. So it's short, and it's probably got issues, but I figured it was good enough to share. Hopefully some of you like it as well.

As a big fan of Alien, this is pretty awesome!
Posted 11 years agoNot all that furry related, but I know I'm not the only dude here that's a huge SciFi buff so some of you might get a kick out of it. Apparently Adam Savage (of Mythbusters fame) was walking around ComiCon in a very faithfully recreated suit from the movie Alien! It's one of my favorite movies of all time, and he did an amazing job on the suit, he mentions it taking about 10 years to create. Makes me wonder what else he could put together with all the stuff he's got in his collection of stuff he hordes. *grins*
Attempting broadcast. .... Signal low....
Posted 11 years agoI've been far more out of touch with this place and a lot of my friends than I like to be for a long time. I'm working on fixing it, but the going is slow just like with anything else. The short version is I'm kicking my ass out here trying to fix a lot of things and it's eating up a LOT of my resources.
But I wanted to fire off a post here, just to say that I'm still here, and I'm trying to get back to posting and being more part of the group again. Just going is slow.

Inspiration.
Posted 12 years agoi have the desire to be creative, but have been hitting some real *block when it comes to doing it. Not quite sure how to get past it. I'm thinking of maybe doing some writing again specifically. But the gears haven't turned so long as far as my writing goes I think they've ceased. What do?
Fall FA banner.
Posted 12 years agoYou know, as much as some people like to complain about the banners on FA, I thought I'd take a second and say that I really like this one. They usually don't have much effect on me at all other than to be a big hit box for the home page, but I got a chuckle out of it this time. It reminds me of the days I used to do battle with the falling leaves. *sighs* Long ago, in a land far, far away...
I used to think that they were a great reason for having pine trees in your yard. It's funny how that works eh? But I miss the color changes, and how pretty the season turned the North East.
Anyway, just a little praise for the often grumbled about FA banner. *gives gold star*

Finally making a showing again!
Posted 12 years agoI know it's been forever, but I've finally got some new photos up! I live in one of the most amazing places in Florida, and between the beautiful scenery, the amazing car scene, and other things, I have tons to point my camera at. And it's my intention to spend more time doing just that. More to come as I get the chance to go through them. :)
I swear I don't ignore this place on purpose.
Posted 12 years agoI don't, but sometimes I get so tied up in other things I don't get to post here as much as I'd like. Finally getting back to something akin to normality though, so I'll be trying to post more stuff when I get the chance. Not sure what else to say here, I've always treated this more as an art thing than a "community". Maybe I should change that.

Chrsitmas
Posted 13 years agoWell, went to the "in laws" for Christmas dinner yesterday. I honestly thought this was going to be a pretty ugly affair. Especially because neither myself nor Xan was really feeling that good the night before so we overslept and were late getting there. But much to my surprise it was really pretty pleasant.
Had some ham dinner, then spent a few more hours just chatting and talking about stuff like dogs (they do dog rescue, I used to work for the ASPCA), computer games, ,(Xan's mom is an avid gamer), and just catching up. It was strange in a way, but honestly a very welcome change. I wish our get togethers were always that way, we'd likely all be better off for it.
Hope y'all had a great Christmas!

Posted 13 years agoAs usual, it's been a while since I'd been able to hit FA. I've been working my ass off and just haven't had time for much of anything else. But since I have a little down time I figured I'd at least hit this thing and let y'all know I'm still alive.
As well, I've been doing some shooting, so I've got new photos to put up! :) I've made it pretty much my mission to carry a camera of some type on me always, and to take any oppertunity I can find to shoot. I also live in one of the best areas of Florida to get some amazing cars infront of my lens, and I'm loving it! Just the other day I got to shoot a 1934 Ford, and a 1950 Ford sedan. Both cars in great shape. I swear this place is like a time warp when it comes to cars. So much rolling history here.
There are a lot of new cars too, the car culture is pretty lively in the area and I see everything from classic American cars to hot forign getups. For a car buff like me the eye candy is amazing. :) It's definitely making sure my camera gets a work out.
Anyway, more to come for sure, but not all at once. caio. :)
