Yeah, I have one already, and I didn't really need it. But, in the same token, it would have been a great cushion to have for going back to school. But with that employment door closed, it just confirmed to me that I need to be serious about going back to school. So, after work I got home and turned on this song...It encourages me to go on and forward. I know it is about two friends separating, but to me it comes off as incredibly empowering. So much so, that I can see it as a wedding song...*blush*...

So, I get to go to my first convention this next Sat! FurtherConfusion! whoot! So excited and stoked!

So I just got done with Part 1 of moving out of my office space that I have had for 3 years. The landlady told me last week that I have till November 1st to be out. That she had found someone else to rent that space for more. Grrrrr! I hate how loyalty does not mean anything to anyone anymore (and yes i know that this is an over-generalization, but let me have my moment please)! I get to take on Part 2 which is loading all my crap into boxes and moving to another office tomorrow morning. Then garage sale surfing for office furniture. Yay for no weekend! Grrrrr....

The duality of the soul, Reason and Emotion. I am the calm in dictation of a theory just as much as I would be the pain felt by a betrayed lover.

I won't lie, I would love to have a temple dedicated to me. But being the deity of duality, I could be found within the hearts of lovers or in the articulations of a philosopher as well as an actual physical temple.

4. If so, what would your temple be like?

If my worshipers were to build me a temple, I would ask that it would hold two wings. One hall of study and intellectual discipline. All straight lines and simple pillars and stark black, white, and grey colors. As for the opposite hall, the house of emotion...I would ask for something in a myriad of colors reflecting the heart and soul. The architecture being disjointed and curvy to reflect the many twists and turns our emotions take. One alcove would be stark and bleak for mourning, while another would be strewn with pillows and rugs for those in the heat of passion and lust. So on and so forth...

5. What kind of worshipers do you have?

All kinds of folk from all walks of life. Reason and emotion do not distinguish between people, so why should I?

6. What kind of offerings/sacrifices do you demand for your 'gifts'?

I would not require any offerings, other than that those who would claim my Name as their patron would put their effort into giving those offerings and sacrifices to the people and not to me. I would be honored and sustained by their betterment of their community.

7. What would your avatar be/look like?

A majestic Clydesdale centaur, to represent my dualistic nature.

8. What powers would your avatar have?

It would be able to bring into existence anything that has been made/written in any culture (but I cannot make new documents. think of me as a repository. i observe, provide, and guide). It would also be able to unleash the repressed emotions and thoughts of those it desired, as well as stir and foster emotions within people.

9. How would you rule?

I would allow mortals to live their own lives and reveal myself to those in the midst of Intellectual or Emotional trials as a supportive figure and guide. I would only impose myself on them if they express their desire for me to do so. I would be swift and decisive against those who wrong me by encouraging ignorance or suppressing individuals capability to speak truly about themselves in the community (ie. homo, hetero, depressed, slighted, wronged...)

omg! this has me rolling on the floor laughing soo hard.

So the 18th of July came and want, and I am still here. I am officially a quarter of a century old now. hmm...doesn't feel all that different than being 24, but ill need to get back to you on that if anything changes.

As for the past year, alot has gone on. I finally recieved my diploma from my university (after nearly having to take the university to court about honoring credits and classes of mine). I am now able to start pursuing my passion as a teacher (cuz a BA in Poly Sci doesn't get you anywhere), but I am starting to consider speech pathology instead. Being a teacher in today's society doesn't pay the bills like it should. Only $45k a year in one of the most expensive areas in the USA to live, doesn't put you very much above the poor house line. Ugh...well, I can start substitute teaching though. Whoot!!! I got to go to Japan again. The Onibashira Festival was a bit of a massive cock-tease, but still fun as an excuse for me and my friends to go to Japan for a week.

For the upcoming year...I am looking into returning to school to get either my MS in Speech Pathology or my MA in Education. Decisions decisions...as for other things, I intend to get my waistline from a 38 to a 34/36 (i can't afford to buy new clothes) as most of my clothes are now too small due to my...*cough* development *cough* haha.

Well, that is all for the moment. I just needed to get some recollections off of my chest. I hope you all are doing awesome!

so it's official. im 24. >__< hurray, one year closer to social security!!! whoot.

so i am going to be conducting an experiment on myself.

now i know what you are thinking. "oh no, Xorin, don't stick radioactive spiders in your bed so that you can hopefully become like spiderman." or "don't go out and try to get bit by some rabid dog in hopes of becomeing more feral." well, i can put you all at ease, i am not doing anything that crazy (and yet somehow the government allows me to drive my car like i do. hehe). i am just conducting an experiment on myself regarding my willpower.

yes, i know. i can already hear the "What?!? Why are you doing that, and why are you telling us this?!?" well the fact of the matter is, is that while i enjoy being a fur and all the artwork, ahem "pron", that comes with it, i am becoming concerned with a peculiar habit that is forming. i would call it something boardering the line of addiction to the artwork and all that jazz.

Now, i love you all, it is not you or the rest of the people here that i am taking an experimental break from, it is the art that i am going to step away from. I will be back, don't worry your furry little heads. but it may be a while. my good friends on here already know where to find me on Yahoo IM. if you want to reach me, you can try to ping me there. otherwise, i'll catch you all on the flip side of things.

So this past Sunday i had this discussion with my Dad (yes, i still live at home but i am working on getting out). I informed him that i intend to start living my life as i choose, and that means that I will pursue Gentlemen instead of the Ladies.

He sat there and listened. After i had spoke my peace, he responded in a mixed bag fashion. First, he said that my choice to life in that lifestyle does not "jive" with his belifes and value system. As such, i would have to find some other way to take care of my needs for a home, phone, internet, office (i rent out office space from him).

Secondly, he said that if this is really something that i wanted to pursue, that there is no turning back. That i could never return to this point in my life where i can make the choice on whom to pursue romantically. (for me, i see being homosexual as a choice. but this is just my opinion, and if this differs from yours, i would love to discuss it. but that being said, i do not want this to turn into something where it becomes a rant on what it is to be gay. i ask that if you do take offense to my opinion, i apologize. but that is my opinion).

Lastly, a day later, i informed him that i have been in communication with a man that has taken me by total surprise. He and i met and instantly were friends. It feels like i have known him all my life and before that. And that i truly consider him a friend with the potential for something deeper than just friendship. I could tell that that took him aback, and since then we have been holding small, but civil discussions on this matter.

I just hope that after all of this is said and done with, that my Dad and I will still be able to be like we are now. And that is as friends. But i am at a loss right now. I don't really know where to go from here. I am applying for jobs left and right, so that i can get out of there. But other than that, i am at a loss. I have made soo many friends here. I appreciate you all so much. Any words of wisdom, advice or comfort would be deeply appreciated because this is such new territory for me. :)

I can't belive that i will finally be free from the hell that is Academics (at least until i return in the fall to get my liscence for teaching)[but lets not discuss that yet].
