I was on a mission trip to Medan to do the Lord's work for 6 days and I had to prep a bunch of pictures to teach to the kids there.
I'm back now so I can start working on commissions again!

Feeling better, but not 100%

Good news! I'm feeling better. Alhough... not healed 100%. Still coughing here and there and my throat's still a bit coarse. I still find myself feeling very drowsy after meals and so commission progression hasn't returned to its normal speed. The weather has been insanely hot and humid lately and the entire country is trudging through this nasty sweep of a virus. I hope I'm able to pull through tomorrow. We'll see...
So many things have been happening lately. So many deaths and drama. All of this seems to have seeped its way into me by osmosis, leaving me feeling a bit heavy and empty. There's not much to do in terms of recharging mentally so, that doesn't help either. Hope things improve after tomorrow. At least one thing will be over and done with.
And as Miranda Priestly says: "That is all."

Down with a nasty virus

My apologies for the lack of activity this week. I became really ill last Tuesday. I say it's a really bad flu. Rumors say it's THE KRAKEEEEEEEN! (the latest COVID vers)
To be fair, I had to attend to 2 wakes this week. Each for a childhood friend's parent. One was particularly sudden and I ended up accompanying my friend 'til all of his family was ready to go back home which was like... 23.30 (11:30pm). So yeah, it was a very tiring day that one.
When I said I wanted to be viral, didn't mean literally hahaha<cough-cough-cough> Owwww......
Thankfully I work from home. The concerning part is that I'm assigned to sing in an acappella group next Thursday at church. And you know how acappellas are, if I cough, the whole church knows. Gosh, I hope I get better soon.
Commission progress will continue as soon as my head stops pounding at the slightest bit of pressure. Right now, a single cough or sneeze feels like my head is going to explode. <cough-cough> Owww....

I'm back

I'm finally back (sort of). Here's what has transpired over the past 2 months in a nut shell:
1.) My housekeeper suddenly quit due to her sister having a difficult child birth which eventually led to her having to care for the baby. This led a bad chain of events.
2.) Discovered that a gossip of me was spreading around one of my social circles. Made some people treat me different all of a sudden. Ugh, felt like highschool drama again.
3.) Had to do some major house renovations for 2 weeks due to a leakage involving much dust, banging noise, and paint fumes. Money go bye-bye...
4.) Fell ill due to the dust, paint fumes, and lack of sleep. Had a cough and a sore throat.
5.) Miraculously was still able to go to a mission trip to Sumatra to do the Lord's work (booked the wrong flight by mistake btw); spreading the good news to schools. Body finally broke down to the point where I had to look for a doctor there to get some antibiotics. Amazingly the show went on and I was still able to teach in the middle of all that. Even had a chance to be a live-translator at some point.
6.) Got home and then major house renovation part 2 happened which involved my work room being repainted from top to bottom so PC had to be vacated. Two months' salary go bye-bye.
So yeah I'm back but not 100%. Thank God I managed to find a new helper and the renovation is done now. I've managed to hook my PC back but my work room is still empty, echo-y, and smells of paint. I am unable to stay for long periods in this room without coughing.
Oh and one more thing!
7.) I picked up the guitar. I lost my brother's guitar in the past when I lent it to someone who eventually died suddenly and I couldn't get a hold of his wife's phone and so I wasn't able to get her to deliver the guitar back. Someone at church was giving free lessons and so I might as well buy one now in case my brother ever asks for his guitar back.
So that's the gist of it. Other unpleasant things happened along the way but not worth mentioning. I'm so blessed to have clients who didn't pester me at all during the entire ordeal. Seriously you guys are the best. Yeah, I know there's a TON of work that I need to catch up with. Trust me, not having a salary for 5 months this year is no joke.
I'll get right back to working on my commissions then. Thanks for being so patient with me, dear clients.

Posted a year agoMY GOODNESS! I didn't know the settings changed to "Verified only"!! How long was this on for?!!!
So a potential client messaged me on Facebook saying that they couldn't reach me on X (Twitter) because it didn't allow them to send DMs to me. I was shocked as I've never blocked my DMs and so I checked my DM settings and it turns out, for some odd reason, my Twitter DMs were set to accept only those by 'verified users' instead of 'everyone'. Do you know how few verified users there are? I was livid. How long has these settings been on for? I'm not the kind of person to fiddle with these things. Gosh, how many clients have I missed because of this? 😭 No wonder my client intake from X have decreased.
Anyway, my X (Twitter) Direct Messages are now open to receive requests from everyone again.
Again, a thousand apologies to any potential clients who wanted to reach out to me on X (Twitter). Hopefully I'm able to regain traffic from there again.
In other news, COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN! 🔥🔥🔥

Do you know how few verified users there are? I was livid. How long has these settings been on for? I'm not the kind of person to fiddle with these things. Gosh, how many clients have I missed because of this? 😭 No wonder my client intake from X have decreased.
