I realize that we never updated about how surgery went. Thank you everyone who showed up to the streams and who donated to the gofundme! We didn't reach our goal, however the amount we did raise was a huge help to trying to cover some of the costs.

Hey everyone,

Just a heads up since I've been contacted a few times about it, I am not involved with any legal disputes. A news story and criminal re-uploaded my artwork without permission and people are mixing me up with the case. I have issued DMCA take-down notices to have my artwork removed from these sites. Please do not contact me about this incident.

Twitter is about to implode (not that I used it much anyways) so if you need to locate me my main gallery will be here. Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

I won't be open for comms any time soon but I am taking steps to get myself rehabilitated and able to draw again. I still have trouble looking down or moving my arms too much, but I'm confident I'll be making more art after the holidays. Just, at my own pace.

I am very sorry for the year long hiatus. Some of you might follow me on Twitter or be in the Discord server so you might already know what's going on, but I just realized I never updated here.

About one year ago I started getting severe dizziness/disorientation/head pressure when sitting, which progressed to being unable to stand/walk for very long and my legs giving out on me. I have to lay down in order to have a clear enough head to work, so I spend the majority of my day laying down.

I've been diagnosed with 2 rare disorders, a chiari malformation, which is a malformation of the brain, and a herniated spinal cord. At this time treatment is up in the air and may involve very invasive spine or brain surgery (or both).

I do not know when I will be able to go back to art on a regular basis. If you want to keep up to date on what is happening please check out Twitter or discord.

All of our conventions this year have been cancelled with the exception of BLFC in October. Though I'm not holding my breath on that. I am thankful to have a full-time job even during the pandemic, so if you are looking to support artists out there, please consider helping those who make the bulk of their livelihood off of their convention work. Many convention artists have been devastated by the closure of events this year and could use the support.

I was going through my photoshop documents, and I realized I have to say thank you to this community for the most productive year I've had in the entire decade. I have drawn more completed pictures in 2019 than any time in the last 10 years, while still having a full time job, working only on the side. I can see vast improvements between the first picture of 2009, and the last picture of 2019, and I feel that I have grown mostly because of the generosity and support specifically of this community. I didn't even start drawing furry art until my cat got sick in 2017, but I've pushed myself to learn new things every time I draw a commission, and y'all have enabled me to continue doing art.

In 2009 I entered into art college expecting to learn how to animate so I could be an animator. I loved animation and video games and wanted nothing more than a career in art. But the college I went to was a predatory for-profit college, and I had (as of then) undiagnosed ADHD that made keeping up in school difficult. I was slowly slipping into depression. By 2012 I was homeless, in debt, without direction, depressed and suicidal. I became estranged from my family. I barely drew anything and had given up on any thoughts of a career in art. I had lost my last contract with a game company I had been working for, and took up farming and retail jobs just to not starve.

But things got better. Slowly. Very slowly. I got jobs where I could and eeked out a meager existence. In 2014 I married my best friend, and was financially stable (somewhat). In 2015 I was living with my husband, without roommates, and without assistance. Things were okay, but I had no motivation to move back into art. I was still depressed, and mourning what I had lost.

In 2017 my cat had to be taken to the emergency room, and I turned to the furry community and offered emergency commissions to pay for her recovery. I saw so much love out-pour from you all. You all supported me, and were the kindest community I had ever met. I saw so much genuine love and concern for my cat and for myself. After paying back the vet bill, I continued to work on commissions, using that as a springboard to get me back into drawing more often. I still work full time in an unrelated field, but I'm productive, always improving, and working on art as a side business in a way I never thought I ever would.

In 2019, I created 137 pieces of art. That is as much as I created in the previous 5 years. And I did it while also holding down a full time job. All I can say is, thank you. Thank you all so much for your support and the kindness you have shown me over the past few years. I genuinely love this community and the people in it. And for anyone struggling going into the new year, anyone depressed or scared or alone, I want to let you know that it does get better. I never believed that it would. 7 years ago I almost gave up on life. I was convinced it would never be okay again. And I was wrong. The world isn't what I wanted it to be back then - but it is good. Just different. As we go into the new year, I hope everyone's burdens ease, and that the world gets a little bit brighter.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This decade has been a wild roller coaster of events, but if we stick together and support and love one another, I know that we can all make it through another decade together.

 leo-ravioleo and I have been going to so many cons this year, and I don't know where to start. Everyone at these cons has been an absolute joy to talk to, and I've been overwhelmed with how wholesome and loving this community is. I have every intention to continue to go to cons, and to hopefully meet a lot of cool people and make new friends!

New updates~

First off, I've been asked when I'm going to be opening commissions next by quite a few people. The sad news is - not quite yet. I'm trying to clear out my backlog first, I only have one piece left in that backlog and them I can open it to everyone. When I am ready to open, I will be posting a Form for people to fill out, to give everyone an equal chance at a commission slot. That way, more people have a chance, since sometimes my slots fill up for months in advance. Also, I am changing how I'm doing my $20/hr commission streams! More on that in a moment.

Second of all, I'm now on Twitch! Half my streams will now be on twitch, all of which will be SFW content. I'm aiming to eventually get to affiliate, so if you want to give me a follow, I'd certainly appreciate it <3.

Hey everyone!

I'm celebrating my birthday this weekend! Woot!

Because of that I'm postponing the Patreon sketch stream to next weekend. This weekend I'm taking some time to relax and celebrate.

Commissions opened for like 10 minutes then instantly filled up. I didn't even get a chance to announce them really. Hey everyone! Thank you for joining me on the stream today. I wanted to apologize for the abrupt stream end. I generally run that stream until 5 or 6 PM, but ended the stream early today.

I think my problem was extremely low blood sugar. When I stood up, I got very lightheaded and felt very disoriented. I attempted to walk it off, which only seemed to make it worse. I didn't trust myself to be able to draw, so I cancelled the stream. After a couple hours of rest and a lot of food I am feeling better. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am alright, and I did want to apologize to everyone who wanted a commission but was unable to get one.

I will probably hold another stream to make up for it sometime in the beginning of march. I'll let everyone know when before it happens.
