I came home from EF 23 yesterday. I'm experiencing mild post-con depression/post con blues

Well, here comes: Yenth is also a pony. Not an MLP-pony, but rather a ponyplay-pony. Why? Because what happened at EF 21, some fine presentations of horses from history, plus it's a form of petplay I really enjoy.
Hopefully, I'll be able to advance from Novice pony to a full and proper Cataphract of Hope
What's a cataphract? An oriental heavy cavalry unit. A sort of Byzantine equilevant of a knight.

First; I'v had my first experiences in Medieval combat sports in the field of (featherwight-series) Buhurt combat (melee without any form of finesse...) And I enjoyed it. Are there any furries you know of who enjoy such activities? I'd love to share experiences.

Anyway, I would just like to let you readers know that I am planning on making only one complete set of leather armor for NFC. Originally I was aiming for two, but due to unforeseen difficulties, I decided to cut my lossess. It will probably be finished around 10th or 12th February. Plus maybe another set of splint mail shin guards. Plus 1 figurine. And hopefully 1 or 2 plushies.

Also, funerals...you never get used to them...second time on coffin carrying duty. A sad but necessary duty and a morbid honour. Plus I think I now know how one can ruin a funeral without even knowing.

And finally, TMI. Ask me stuff. I don't bite.

Gosh....I tried to get myself a room from main hotel for EF23 but no go....Anyone need a roommate?

Sadly 2017 did not begin the way I would have wanted: I did not receive studying place, so my NEET status continues. Yet oddly I am in a better financial state due to this fact....oh well.

But I shall not stop smiling.
I am eagerly awaiting for NFC 2017 plus EF 23 for the summer...

Crafting-wise I am happy to report that all things are proceeding well.
Only thing I am currently missing is companions to share my passion...

Dear readers.

Three things.

First, armor:
Let me start by saying that at the moment I have three goals to achieve:
1) I plan on building three different armors for Nordic fuzzcon and it's artshow
2) I plan on building thigh armor parts. I also plan on teaching how to armor stockings for sock lovers, femboys and anyone interested in such ideas.
3) I plan on showing sharing what I can for anyone who is willing to listen, read and share his or her idea for any and all purposes.

Second, crafts
Thanks to talented induviduals who were willing to share their knowhow and experience about crafting sculptures and making plushies. I have collected a fair amount of materials to craft them. (Plus a few Warhammer miniatyres to work as models for sculpting wolves and dragons...)
So, I have decided to challenge myself to do at least one three-piece sculpture and at least two plushies (most likely dragons)

And finally: Goals

Short term goals
- Attend NFC 2017
- Craft three different armors for Nordic Fuzzcon
- Make at least two plushies (One for christmas present, one for NFC) (or more)
- Make at least one three-piece sculpture (three

Long term goals
- Graduate into a profession
- Employment after graduation
- Attend at least one international furry convention outside of Europe
- Establish a reputation as a crafter
- Find a mate once I have a steady payroll

Dear reader.

Eurofurence 22, 2016 is now over and I am back at home. This convention would be best summed up as a "jack of all trades" convention, because it was a good balance of panels, events, fursuiting and free roaming. Most importantly, I now believe I am armed with enough knowledge to try my hands at sculptures, plushies and drawing.

As for my own events, I would say that my stand-up comedy performance was a success. I had a medium crowd of 40 people listening to me.
Armored furries panel was also a grand success, not only because I had a full room, but also because I had 5 or 6 lovely ladies join the panel whom I immediately declared shieldmaidens. ^-^

The A2 hostel was allright. I have no big complains, except that I noticed an odd foul stench coming from somewhere. Also, it may be a cheaper alternative and a fine overflow hostel, but I would not recommend this to anyone who is socially shy.

Short version:
-If one of my characters (Flami the Red Panda, Lami the Mixed breed Canine, Ironcrown the Gryphon) would be female, how would you dress her and what style would you pick for her? Can be multiple choices
- If you dress a woman in man's clothes and apply proper masquerade, can you make fun out of it? Instead of the classic way of avenging some great wrong done against her?
- If you dress a man in womans clothes and apply proper masquerade, can you make great acting drama(not RL drama in this case) out of it? Instead of classic draq-queen fun making?
- Curiosity over lust in this case

Long version:
Masquerade. I find it endlessly appealing to my mind. The idea of assuming some other identity and becoming someone else is fascinating to me.
Hence I have been thinking; Could someone with right and proper technique, clothes and make-up disguise me as a credible woman?
If I were to do so, I would opt for veiled appearance with plenty of light, fluid and flowing layers of light cloth and cover every single inch of skin that I have....
then the thought hit me: How would female Flami, Lami or Ironcrown look like? What style would they adopt? Mild mannered or temperamental? Flashy or plain?
then I started thinking about classic theater: Women dressing up as men to correct a great wrongdoing made against them. And men dressing up as females to make lighthearted comedy, mockery and silly acts. But could you reverse that?
Call me silly, but I think Lego movie made onesuch move when Unikitty donned business attire on herself and was all "Business, business, business and business......How did I do?" xD

While these ideas do amuse me, I do not consider act of crossdressing sexually stimulating thing, If done properly, it could be a source of great comedy (such as Rocky Horror Picture Show) or great acting drama (Young Shakespeare)

I could use your help on little something: About a month and a half ago I was constructing my first wooden shield for NFC. And while I was making it, I was thinking about choice of colours for my own personal heraldry. I'm thinking of making myself a personal banner to be carried into conventions with me.

But before I get working, I'd like to ask you, dear reader, to come up with suggestions for two or three colour combinations to use.
You may also suggest style or imagery for either banner or a small wooden shield.
Originally I was thinking white and green or blue and white


And by the way: If your design is really good, I might just try and create a smaller banner for you in return.
