I managed to recover my old username so it should still be the same as what's on my profile! But I decided to install it back onto my desktop. I don't really care for it as I find it difficult to keep up with so many social media platforms, but I know there's some groups that are good for marketing and such and I know it's some people's preferred communication system still.

PNG Sets- New Commission Type
Posted 3 years agoHey, guys, So, I was thinking of creating a new commission type, that being opening up slots for those who want PNG-tuber assets. I'm thinking of charging $15 usd per expression (which includes open and closed mouths, and blink variations of both) to start off with, and gauge future pricing based on interest. If you're interested, comment below or note me.
Also, thinking of opening up a slot for me to try taking on making a full Live2d-style model. (No rigging sadly as that is an eldritch ritual I know not of.) If you're interested in a full model, note me and we can work out a price. It'd be probably for a pretty low-ball price considering it would be my first one, so I would charge an experimental price. (Probably within the ballpark of $100 usd, which I think would be reasonable for a first-time model practice.)

I'm going to keep this short n sweet- I got... overwhelmed. With a lot. I expected to be able to keep just trucking on when I moved, but in truth, I needed a very, very long time to settle in. I really just did not understand how much shit I needed to move out of the (metaphorical) closet.
This may come as a surprise to some of you- and not a surprise to probably a lot of you- but I had a lot of mental growth and healing to do when I first moved states. I still am, in fact, healing and growing. But I'm getting better.
That being said, I do plan on scrubbing up my fA page, cleaning some things up, and getting back into the swing of things. I've been streaming here and there on Twitch, mostly games, but I really still haven't really touched art professionally since I moved. And I think that it's high time I changed that.
First thing I'll be doing is uploading Smudge's new reference sheet and a couple pieces I've worked on here and there- mostly just doodles, really. I've worked on my weebly site a little bit, nothing really needed to be changed there. I'll be opening up commissions shortly.
I will also update on my job status since I know the last journal I made was pretty grim- I do have a day job again. And I don't hate it! It's still retail, but I work in the copy & print center of an office supply store, which is pretty dope if you ask me because it's tangentially related to the whole art thing. (Getting your own business cards for an employee discount is pretty nice.)
Still wish I could change my username, but I'm not moving accounts because I'm stubborn. Just keep calling me Yuffi if you want, I guess, lol.

Posted 5 years agoUnfortunately due to the quarantine my place of work has shut down and I am unable to make money until AT LEAST May 1st.
I tried filing for unemployment but as of checking back on the website I have been deemed ineligible (presumably because I'd only just started this job, but I'm not entirely sure as the government sure does love being vague).
And, unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable taking on more commissions at this time because I've been unable to work on my queue due to various reasons, whether it's been dealing with the move, my mental illness flaring up, getting used to a day job schedule, and simply being busy with a life outside of my parents' home for the first time.

First off, thank you to everyone who wished me well with moving and getting finances together! I appreciate the well wishes and the support, and I can never thank this community enough for just generally being so good to me.
Second, I have an announcement- I'm gonna be working a day job again! I just got back from the interview. The hours still need to be ironed out but it'll be a stable income that I can work with outside of commissions ('cuz, unfortunately, the artist market is just... over saturated everywhere at the moment).
Third, I apologize to anyone who's on my queue that's been waiting a hot minute- settling into the new place has taken a lot longer than I anticipated, and as a result I haven't been able to sit down and work as much as I'd like. Hopefully, though, with getting more stable income, that'll take some stress off my load and I'll be able to work for longer periods of time.

[updates] Official schedule, moving updates, and sales!
Posted 6 years agoHey y'all! Just letting you guys know that the move went smoothly! I am now (mostly) unpacked, and slowly getting to know my new town and home. My roommates have been joyfully showing me around the places they frequent, and considering we all have similar interests I'm sure I'll be just fine finding things to do in my downtime.
Now that I'm out and in a new home outside of my parents' home, though, I can now implement a schedule for commissions and streaming. I won't post my full spreadsheet here, but I will tell y'all the normal times that I'll try to be streaming from now on, as well as my weekend days (where I'll be replying to notes about commissions and work but I will not be working unless I have missed work over the past week).

Saturday & Sunday | Weekend days, will be used for catch-up work when complications in my schedule arise

New Year, New Home!

I'm moving to another state!
That's right, Jeren's finally moving out for the first time! I'll be living with friends in South Carolina. I intend on keeping art as my full-time job, but if I have to I'll get a new day job out there. Hopefully my mental health will have been nursed enough for me to feel confident in working minimum wage work again.
My moving date is January 6th, 2020. I know, so little time, right?! I need to finish cleaning and packing, so if I'm slow to respond to things over the next few days, that'll be why. Plus when I get there I'll need to unpack and settle down. I'll post another journal once I get fully settled.
In the meantime, though, if you'd like to help contribute to my moving fund, there's a couple things you can do that I'll list here:

Those of you that were following me last year know that my immediate family and I went to Alabama to visit extended relatives of ours for Thanksgiving. We'll be doing that again this year.
We will leave early in the morning on Wednesday, November 27th, and will be back home by 7 pm (EST) on Saturday, November 30th .
I can't guarantee commission speed during these days, and as a result I will be doing my best to clear my queue before we leave. I do, however, want to do a MAJOR Black Friday weekend sale, perhaps up to 50%/half-off slots. These slots will probably be limited? I'd say up to 10 slots? After that though I will be doing a general discount on my commissions, 10% up to December 20th, 15% off Christmas-themed commissions or commissions specified to be a gift for someone else. Not entirely set in stone yet but 99% sure that's how I'll set it up.

No, I’m not really talking about my quality (unless that really is what’s wrong, in which case, guess I gotta up my game?). I’m talking about the fact that I can barely get sales on literally anything anymore.
I’ve tried marketing like crazy, and nothing really seems to be working.
So I decided to make a journal to ask a simple question-
Am I doing something wrong?
If you are a potential client but are hesitant to order from me, please explain what you’d like to see from me. Is it prices? Quality? Themes? Something else?
I need sales on my art in order to pay my bills, eat, and generally survive, because my mental health is at a point where I cannot keep a day job without it getting worse. Please, if you have any tips for me, I would greatly appreciate it, because I’m really scratching my head here. I don’t know what to do and I’m honestly at the brink of absolutely giving up.

Posted 6 years agoI currently have $12 usd to my name. I had to buy things for my hamster in order for her to be comfortable, and I need about $103 just for bills. There's another $65 that I'll have to pay to my parents in another 2 weeks as well. So I need $168 total for bills this month. Not to mention I need food, too, that's important.
Commissions have not been selling well, and I'm not entirely sure why. It's really frustrating when I go to market my things and it ends up essentially just being about as effective as yelling into a void. I can't get a day job right now because I'm still working to repair my mental health. This is all I have. I really, really need this.
So for the moment I'm marking everything in my old Adopts folder 50% off. You can even claim a higher tier and cut the total price in half. I'm really desperate for money right now.

Of course I’ll take my iPad with me and try to work on things if I can, but considering we’ll be sight-seeing most of the time we’re there expect commissions during those few days to be slow to get out.
Also, I’ll be working on my DnD campaign that I DM for on Saturdays today. I hope I’ll get enough work on it done so that I can relax a bit and get back to commissions.

There will be 2 winners, that will each get a flat-color fullbody (choice of safe or nsfw). My usual T.O.S applies.

Posted 6 years agoSo, my boyfriend, Wolfbaloo , was trying to disable shinies on his page and accidentally disabled his account. So, just in case anyone is worried that he poofed off the face of the planet- he did not! He is currently working on getting his page back. At maximum it'll take 72 hours for him to reinstate his account, but he sent in a trouble ticket to hopefully get it back up sooner.
