Heya guys! Just making a journal to tell you about my upcoming plans regarding both my life and my art career!

First, the big important news; my boyfriend and I are currently planning on moving. We’re not sure how far away, it’ll probably still be in the same state, but both of us are in... difficult situations at the moment. I am currently living with my parents (which I’ll just briefly mention is a horribly toxic environment, I don’t feel like going into detail) with no stable income, and my boyfriend is currently living out of his car. So both of us are... yeah, we’re working on it. He’s looking for a better job than the one he has at the present moment so that we have a little more spending room. Until then, though, I need to work my ass off on art and save as much money as possible.

That’s where Patreon comes in. I’ll be starting it up soon, but I really, REALLY need you guys to come through for me here. I’m planning on coming out with exclusive stickers for the first 2 weeks that my Patreon is open, so EVERYONE who signs up within that time will get a sticker. I need about $35 to do this. I also still need to pay my part of the bills and my credit in the meantime, so I’m trying to get this amount of money outright to order these stickers ASAP. After that I pay this month’s portion of credit, and then after that my phone bill. I’m trying my best to keep my bank account above $100 but food is expensive, y’all. I really need commissions right now. Or if you would like to browse through my toyhouse and see if you wanna buy any characters, feel free to offer on anyone (some may be entirely off-limits and this includes anyone in the not for trade/sale folder and the most of the D&D folder).

Medibang paint, as per usual, has pushed out its latest update without double-checking for bugs. It'll probably be fixed soon, people have been tweeting to Medibang about it but so far they have not responded. So I guess I'm fucked til they fix it, lmao-

A new commission type will also be introduced for this period- colorless sketch chibis!
Currently, this is the only example I have, but it's still an accurate representation of the final product. This will be my ko-fi donation reward up until the 19th. One colorless sketch chibi will cost one donation, aka $3 usd. If they are successful I'll keep them around. If not, I may play around and see what other donation rewards I can come up with.

On another note, I am planning a freebie stream on the 18th to celebrate my birthday. The freebies will only be headshots or chibis, most likely, and they'll be 1 maximum per person. You may have on hand any reference you wish, including a friends' if you wish to gift it to them.

Seeing as how... ever since I got my ipad, it's pretty much ruined tablets that don't have a screen for me, I'll be selling my old tablet. I wanted to post a journal first before posting anywhere like craiglist, because honestly, I wanna give back to the furry community in some way.

It's the same model as this one and sells for about $110 on Amazon. That's about what I paid for it, plus I'd also like to cover shipping if possible. I don't have the cord that originally came with it, but I will package a cord for free if necessary, as well as every spare nib that I have, and a whole extra pen for free as well (which probably retails close to $30 or more on its own, I'd guess, but honestly I'm willing to give it away with the tablet since I won't be using it). The chord is a standard micro-usb which is pretty easy to find in stores and honestly most people have them still lying around their house. As for personal review, it was the first and only tablet I used from the time I was 15 up until 2018. The learning curve is the same as any other tablet if you're just starting digital art, but if you're already well-trained in non-screen tablets (where you look up at the computer while you draw) then honestly, it's not that hard to figure out.

It is gently used, still in good condition- I've had it for maybe 3 or 4 years, and as long as you are gentle with your equipment it works and will last a long time. I can provide pictures over notes if you're interested.

Finally managed to get a program that allows me to capture my ipad's computer screen, so like, let's fuckin GO!

Hey guys! Figured I’d check in since some pretty major stuff happened today.
First off, I quit my day job. Long story short, 3 years of disrespect and putting up with nonsense meant they had it coming for a long while. I’ll probably be looking for a new day job soon, but ‘til then I’ll be relying on strictly commissions for my income.
Secondly, related to the commissions- my unemployed status means I’ll have to raise my prices soon. If you guys have any input or advice on this, let me know- otherwise I’m just going to do some number crunching on my end and be done with it as soon as possible. I haven’t raised my prices in a while so, again, this was a long time coming. I’m thinking it won’t be too terribly drastic, hopefully, but again it requires some number crunching.
I’ll also probably be restarting my Patreon again soon, and actually work to get it organized enough so that I can keep on top of the rewards instead of never touching it.

So, I know that I posted a little while ago about my mom’s horse having her eye infection. That went over fairly well, but she was unable to be showed this year because she was still recovering, and since our horse trainer’s barn was getting full, we got someone else to board her out at a larger barn, where she’d mainly be a pasture horse for the year.
Well, recently she’d been having complications with her front left leg. I hadn’t posted at all about this, thinking it might have just been a muscle twist or something. It turned out that she broke her shoulder. We don’t know when this happened or how— perhaps she hit the fence too hard when she was running and made a sudden stop, maybe she twisted it, we don’t know, and at this point it doesn’t matter much.
The vet was saying it should be alright if we wait a while to see how things play out, but... he didn’t have much hope for her to recover. Once one leg goes out, they have to use the other 3 to distribute their weight, and then its only a matter of time til the other 3 give out. Horses are evolutionarily very fragile, if you know at all how they are.

I’m mostly going to be supporting my mom through this, since horse-riding has been her passion ever since I was 10, and she stayed in the sport much longer than I did. She’s absolutely devastated. Between everything that’s gone on with our animals the past year and a half- our cat going missing, this horse’s eye infection, the same cat ended up getting a broken jaw, and now this- she’s really broken up and beating herself up for it, and I really need to be supporting her right now. Of course, this doesn’t mean I won’t be working on commissions, but... if I take a while to communicate, that’s why. I need to be ready to drop everything and go with them for support.

So, I’ve really been wanting to try my hand at charms again. The batch I had before went fairly alright, but it was mostly just to test the system. Once I actually order a whole real batch they’ll be much easier to distribute!
First, though, I need to pick a theme for my first batch. And to do that I wanted to get you guys involved in that process! So I made a poll with various fandoms and themes, and you can pick from any of the options I gave or fill in an ‘other’ option!

So, today my MediBang paint app started making the fill bucket act wonky. I guess it has something to do with them adding ‘tone curve’ which i can’t find anywhere. The fill bucket will fill things i don’t want it to, the color sensitivity is too low, it will fill two areas of brown despite being VERY different shades. Please help if you can? This is very annoying!

Not only is it almost Easter, which is pretty exciting, but it's also the day before taxes are due! The due date for taxes in the United States is April 15th, so be sure to get your taxes filed either today or tomorrow!
As a side note, if you filed with H&R Block last year, this year they are charging extra for porting your state tax form from your federal form and charge extra for every state, so you'll need about $34 usd to cover that fee.
