Fur the More 2016, Anthrocon 2017 & a personal update
Posted 9 years agoSo, I went to Fur the 'More this year (just on Saturday) with my sister 
and she let me wear one of her suits (partial of Graffix) and bought some stuff and danced around and it was very fun overall and now I'm definitely invested in going to future cons.
So, as of now I'm planning on going to AC 2017. I would go this year, but the hotel is booked and there's no way I'll be able to save enough between now and June for it. So, next year! I'm planning to go with some IRL friends and share a room, but I haven't fleshed out the full plan yet. In any case, I'm probably gonna work on at least a partial suit over the next year or so, so y'all will see periodic updates on that. If anyone who reads this has any tips on fursuit building, please feel free to comment! I'm gonna do lots of research before I even buy the first scrap of foam or fur. Any links to helpful tutorials and the like are also awesome.
In other news: Semester's almost over! One more month to goooo~ But I'm signed up for a couple summer classes too, which start two weeks after that. *sighs* it feels like it'll never end, guys. But, I'm getting there. Slowly.
Also, I'm getting into chainmaille work and may get into leatherwork over the summer. I'm debating that, not sure how I feel on the ethicality and all in the use of leather, but it looks really cool and I kinda want to get into something more sculpture-y since I haven't fixed my kiln yet and all. Who knows. I just want to branch out a little more from 2D art, yknow?
Anyway! For the final bit of this journal, I'm gonna try and figure out a regular streaming schedule. For right now, Monday and Wednesday from 10PM-midnight(ISH) EST are the best timeframes if you want to catch me streaming. I'm also gonna try and work on my toon style a little more (I've been a bit more realistic with proportions and all lately, but I wanna go more toony, I think). It's not a definite thing for me to do every week, but I'll try to come out with a more regular schedule when I can. I wanna say thanks again to everybody who's come by and watched, or dropped their ref on this journal so I can draw for them! You guys are awesome.

Posted 9 years ago[EDIT]: Changed from in-stream sketches to just warm-up sketches, whenever I feel like them.
Gonna make this simple. This journal is for warm-up sketches. I may draw your full character, just a bust, or whatever I feel like. Depends how I'm feeling when I draw.
Only rules:
1. You must be following me.
2. Limit of 3 refs/user. I'm not following them in any particular order, just gonna amass a folder of all the refs to use, and find one that I like and use it when I start fresh streams.
3. Do not complain/whine over what you did/did not get.
4. Mention the word 'candy' in your comment somewhere so I know you read all of these.
5. Feel free to tell anyone else about this! The more the merrier!
[EDIT]: Some notes - anyone that comments and is in-stream will receive priority over commentators not in-stream.. Also, if you would like to upgrade a free sketch you get, please fill out a form here. (Full-body costs: Flat - $5, Full - $10. More info in link)
I'll probably post an actual submission advertising these, but for now this journal will work. Thanks guys!

Streaming - best sites to do so on?

As you know, I'm gonna open commissions soon (hopefully by this Friday), but I was wondering if anyone is interested in watching me stream, and if so, what sites do y'all typically like best? I've seen a few different ones but I don't want to look through all the options on one site if another is gonna be way better.
((thinking about offering in-stream sketches -freebies occasionally but mostly paid ones- and the like too))

*long time no see journal*
Posted 10 years agoWow. Haven't really been on on in nearly a year.
This is just an update journal.
I've really been slacking in doing any art in awhile now.. mostly due to school and work and I'm just lacking the inspiration to shirk a lot of my other responsibilities. But I've had a little time lately to think about a few new projects I'd like to do, so I may go through with those in the time I have before school starts. We'll see.
Before those happen though, I'm going to be going through the following updates:
-Update profile, faq & other on-site info
-Create a new commission guide (if I decide to have them open at any later point; if so I'll probably only ever have 3-5 slots open at a time)
-Finish tweaking desktop computer with music libraries/download Sai properly and try to see if I have enough bandwith for streaming, if that'll ever occur
-Go on an art supply run (I have some ideas for wearables)
Updates on my personal life (majority of these will become public on my profile info once I update):
-I'm an engineering student based in Maryland
-I have a girlfriend (non-fur), we've been together for a little over a year and a half now
-I'm currently working 35-40 hrs/week with varying shifts (will be cut to 6-15 hrs/week once school starts)
-This fall semester will be the first I'll be going full-time to. Wish me luck! I've only done a max of 11 credits before. I'm trying 15 this semester, and if I can handle it okay, Imma go for 18 next.
-I recently downloaded Steam and got a bunch of games off their summer sale several weeks ago and my latest endeavor has been in Mass Effect. I love it.
