A lot of you already know it, but I just wanted to put this out here for anyone who doesn't know. At the end of this month, I'll be starting law school. I have no idea how much time I'll have for drawing, so it is very possible that this account could very likely go very quiet for a while.

Regarding Cub Porn and Underage Characters in Kink Art

Just because this issue never seems to die, I'm going to take a slightly edited version of a comment I made elsewhere on this topic and post it here for visibility and ease of finding again in the future. This is not being prompted by any particular person, it was simply brought to my attention again and made me want to create this post.
Both child pornography and child sexual abuse levels are at very high levels in the U.S. right now. Both have been described by officials as "epidemic level". The amount of pedophilia in the U.S. right now is "unprecedented" according to an FBI official.
Even putting the very real practice of grooming aside, which it is correct that more normal porn can be used to accomplish that as well, multiple studies have pointed to a definite connection between the consumption of child pornography and child sexual abuse. Even if not 100% of consumers of child pornography end up abusing children, the proliferation of that kind of content normalizes and contributes to the massive increase of real child sexual abuse.
It is for these reasons, along with the thoughts expressed by those close to me who are survivors of childhood sexual assault as well as the intense discomfort which cub porn and underage characters in kink art cause in me and all people of good moral character that I strongly assert that underage porn of any kind has zero place in the furry fandom or anywhere with any iota of basic human decency.

I haven't fully worked out what the tiers will be yet, but rewards-wise it'll definitely involve monthly pictures, perhaps at a slight discount to normal commission prices in exchange for the regular support?

(February)-March-April 2018 Charitable Contributions Report

As mentioned in my featured journal, half of the money I make from commissions will be going to charity. This is the first of the semi-monthly reports of where that money is going, in the interest of transparency. I included February in the contributions for March, as I started this program late in the month.
Donations
Without further ado, this cycle of donations looked like this.
09 MARCH 2018 - $25 to GiveDirectly
13 APRIL 2018 - $12.50 to GiveDirectly
Charities Given to
All of the donations this time around went to GiveDirectly, a charity which aims to get money directly to those who need it the most for them to spend according to their priorities. They back up their decisions with rigorous evaluation of its efficacy. I've included a link to their website where you can read more about their practices if you are interested, including more detailed information about how they conduct their research and the results of their evaluations.

Posted 7 years agoI am still planning on doing something for 100 watchers! It'll be a YCH raffle. Like I've mentioned, school's just been keeping me particularly busy. Hopefully by this weekend at the latest I'll have time to create the YCH base and start the raffle.

Posted 7 years agoIt's been a few days since I posted anything, and I know that that's not that long in the grand scheme of things, but I try to draw and post something at least every couple days. The last few days have just been a bit busy, and in my downtime I chose to relax in other ways. More drawings will be coming soon, don't worry!

Posted 8 years agoI noticed that when setting up this new page I forgot to change the settings saying whether trades/commissions were open. Just in case that confused anyone, I am open for commissions and my prices are listed on my page, and I'm willing to consider doing trades with artists I know pretty well!
Heads up about the move
Posted 8 years agoI'm probably not going to upload 100% of my old gallery, since there are some doodles and whatnot in there that aren't worth bringing over (and it's a lot of work reuploading things) but most stuff will come back over and the most important stuff definitely will.
