Posted 10 years agoI am currently taking custom chainmail commissions. I have been making chainmaille for a little over 3 years now and in that time my knowledge and expertise has grown by leaps and bounds. I'll give a short rundown of the weaves I am familiar with, and then it's on to commission information.
Weaves
Byzantine - The first weave I learned. I love how intricate it looks.
Half-Persian - This one is fun as well, but getting it started is kind of a pain. Great for bracelets that include rubber rings.
Full-Persian (AKA Foxtail) - My favorite weave. I really like working beads into the weave, as it provides a very interesting look.
European 4-in-1 - I got VERY familiar with this weave when I started making dice bags.
There are other weaves that I have been fiddling with, but those are the ones I know best. Want a specific weave but don't see it there? Feel free to ask! I am happy to oblige any requests. The prices listed are a baseline: if the design wanted required a large number of colors or high complexity, the cost would go up. Bracelets: $20
Pretty straightforward. I will need an estimated wrist measurement when the order is placed.

Emergency Name-Your-Price Commissions!
Posted 14 years agoSince I'm homeless (see my last journal for info) and have to drive from where I'm staying to where I work (which is about a 40 minute drive) I'm opening name-your-own-price commissions! Any amount of detail, any format (badges, icons, ect). I have a lot of time to get this stuff done, so turnaround will be really fast. If you don't have the money to spend, at least spread the word please? It would be greatly appreciated! :D
Homelessness
Posted 14 years agoIt seems I have become homeless. I won't go into major details (if you want to know, Note me. I don't mind sharing the details, I just didn't want to type them all out in a journal), but the gist of what happened is that my friend's mom went absolutely psycho and kicked both my friend and I out. We've got friends we can stay with for a bit, but nothing permanent. Luckily where I'm staying now has a great internet connection, but I get no phone reception. :< I guess I gotta take the good with the bad.

Posted 14 years agoSo, I made the huge mistake of moving my WoW files from my external hard drive back to my laptop. Now I have the overwhelming urge to play WoW. I don't have the money to renew my account. Sad Laura is sad. :<
