Posted 16 years agoSo I went down to the store today to go grab a bottle of beer to relax with after I finished work, studying and all that stupid college crap. I asked one of my friends to come walk down with me because I hate having no one to talk to on long walks...
I get down to the store, and we both go in I take a couple of minutes to select something, and I go up to the register to pay. My friends hanging out behind me trying to figure out what gum to buy...or whatever. So I get it all rung up and then she askes for both IDs. I look at her and go, "I only have one?" and then she tells me she needs my friends as well in order for ME to buy alcohol. Alcohol which I WILL be drinking not HIM. So I tell her that he was just walking down with me and its not for him but then shes all "Well you both have to be 21 for me to sell YOU beer." So I tell her I had to walk half an hour to get to this store from where I live and now shes denying me the one thing I came down here to get, because someone WHO JUST WALKED WITH ME wasn't 21. I mean I understand store policy and all that bullshit, but do you have to be a dick about it?
Oh yeah and then when I got home I found out there was a film I was supposed to go see tonight for a class...but its too late for me to make it there now (cause it started at 7:00, and the building is a 30 minute walk from where I live), so I have to see it on Thursday instead the day when I have to prepare for a huge ass speech rehearsal on Friday...great.
Alright Im done being pissed off.

Posted 17 years agoGaaah! So Im living in Nepal for the next couple of months and I get zero privacy from my roomate. Its kinda fun being here but the country and the constant noise and motion is begining to wear on me. Theres trash absolutely everywhere, theres no sanitation system in the country at all. None of the cars or vehicles in this country would pass emission standards in the US or Europe. Walking around in the capital city is exactly the same as smoking an entire pack of cigarettes.
Thats not to say that I haven't been having fun here. The people Im with are pretty nice albeit extremely normal in a very boring sort of way. Im learning the language which is pretty fun, but its really hard because the script is completely different than English.
Im leaving for the Terai region of Nepal in a few days, and apparently theres these little parasites that swim up your peehole and shove barbs in your ureathra if you pee in the water :X. So its not just an urban legend.
