I'd like to think MOST furry characters will fall under the base prices... but I know full well there's some crazy complex characters out there, and subject matter greatly increases cost, so unfortunately, you should always expect to pay a little bit more than the prices an artist lists.

None the less, my record-keeping of how long it takes me to draw has helped me write up, I hope, more accurate prices. ^^;

Hey all - noticed that this is A Thing™, so decided to let it ~fully~ be known: I'm a trans dude.
"Female to Male", as people would call it. But, honestly, I don't view it quite that way.
To me, sex - that is, your reproductive organs - is not connected to your gender, which is your identity and expression.
Now, I'm not going to get into my personal views about transness. It'd be pretty long-winded if I did, and as with anything, I'm sure I'd offend SOMEONE, lol. But, I basically just wanted to "come out" for this.

I've been on Hormone Replacement Therapy for about a year now, and recently just upped my Testosterone (otherwise referred to as just "T") dose - which has helped a LOT with my dysphoria, and libido!! :'3 I'm also going to apply to get my top surgery done the next time I see my doctor, although it'll probably be a while before it actually happens.

As for my reproductive organs... the only plans I have is to have a full hysterectomy done, to prevent atrophy (which is your uterus / fallopian tubes / ovaries dying and rotting inside of you) which can happen after five years on T, and is, OBVIOUSLY, super dangerous!! But as far as other bottom surgeries go, they're just... too much of a risk for me. There's considerable risk of loss of feeling, SO y'know. I'd rather keep the ability to feel things down there in tact. =w=;

Whew, ANOTHER month that flew by! This time, because I went to Furnal Equinox 2017 - the only local furcon we can really afford to go to once a year LOL. The weekend itself FLEW past me bc honestly, my sleep patterns were FUUUCKED, although I still had lots of fun and made new friends!! (And got SMASHED lel.) I didn't buy much or spend as much money as I thought I was going to, so I still have plenty left over - which might be going towards getting my eyes tested / getting new lenses for my glasses bc I'm going blind again. =w=; I've gotta replace my glasses like, once a year now? Or once every two years. I wonder if I'm legally blind without them yet.

I... also decided to get rid of my Patreon. I'm not popular yet, so I know people aren't willing to support me in that way without me shelling out extra work for them cheaper than I'd normally do it for. And obviously, that just doesn't work for me - ESPECIALLY since I recently reverted back to my old pricing to try to get my demand back. But, alas, that has yet to show any promise - and looking at that survey I put out, I've been kinda discouraged. :'3

I, once again, don't feel like I got much done this month. But... I kind of always feel that way, and I WAS just burnt out for a week after the con. =w=; I just recently got my motivation to DO things back, so I got some good progress done yesterday, and dealing with chores I've been putting off today. As per usual, though, my back HAAAATES me. We gon invest in some muscle relaxants.

Speaking of back pain, I plan on applying for top surgery the next time I see my doctor - my parents said they'll loan me the $1000 - $2000 I'll need to get it done by the not-sketchy doctor (I'd like my nipples to NOT fall off!), and I can pay it back at my own pace. I'm unsure of how long the wait will be to get it done, but this is a BIG deal!! I'll ofc be knocked on my ass for a while after the surgery happens, but it'll be SO worth it. My chest is a BIG cause of dysphoria / anxiety for me, and the binding I have to do to not feel disgusting in public doesn't exactly help my back problems. It'll be SO nice to not have to worry about it, and just... be me. ;w;

So, in the meantime, just gonna keep on keepin' on I suppose. I'm doing my best, and getting better at handling anxious situations. Considering going back to college or getting a part-time job, but... I don't think I'm ready for that just yet. =w=;

I haven't been able to get back to working on stuff yet, mainly because my sleep schedule is still fucked resulting in me being tired as hell. Up all night, asleep all day... right now I'm trying to keep myself awake for a bit after sleeping for 5 hours so I can go back to bed at a decent hour, but I'm still so groggy I could probably just crawl back into bed and pass out. =w=;

I feel bad about not working on anything since the con... I know I have to, but I'm just... so TIRED. Plus, I have other obligations to start getting under control (chores, paying my old doc to send files to my new doc, cleaning out my friend's apartment of perishable food while she's in the hospital, blood tests...) - for me, this is a LOT of work. I'm sooo not use to it, and even though I'm not feeling nearly as depressed / anxious as I was, I'm still having trouble pulling my ass up and gathering the motivation to do it all. It's just... so much for me, it's kind of overwhelming,,,

I need to work out a schedule for chores and shit... but right now, I'm tired, so I'm just going to kinda exist at my desk for the next two hours.

So, I spent the week after I got home from FE... basically being exhausted / worn out from dealing with people, lol. I've also had some sleep schedule issues again, wherein I've been sleeping all day and up all night... sO I'm going to try to pull an allnighter doing some owed work to get myself flipped back around to a normal sleep schedule.

SO, I'm back from Furnal Equinox!! I made a LOT of new friends (including locals!!), suited around, met some more popular suiters who were REALLY sweet, got drunk... and overall just had a great time! Definitely going to need a few days to recover before I can be around people though,,, OTL

I also met some kinky folks like I had hoped for lol. I was scared at first, but just observing and getting to chat with them... I've honestly never met a group of people where I felt IMMEDIATELY accepted and safe like I did with them. ;w; So I'm going to do my best to get out into that scene more - pup play specifically, since I visited a mosh and it just looked like a lot of fun!! Also because, y'know, consent is a BIG DEAL with them, and sex doesn't HAVE to be involved. And it's just so... friendly and casual. Growing up general society frowns on this stuff as being "sinful", but like I said, never met a bunch of folks I felt so comfortable and safe around, which is saying something!

I've also opened my 3D asset commissions. I'm mainly looking to take commissions for Second Life textures / parts right now, especially parts that I'd be allowed to also sell in my own store. Either way, the discussion of distribution rights / the way the files will be given to you will need to be discussed in-depth.

I may be willing to do a full character model, although I don't want to touch anything particularly complex. I'm also not an expert at rigging, so ideally you should have experience with rigging yourself if this is something you want.

This month flew by fairly fast for me - it might be because I was still getting my accounts situated at the start of the month, it might be because I've been being more active online, it might be because I've been switching family doctors and getting my personal health finally looked after, it might be because I burnt out my energy at the start of the month.

As I write this I am exhausted and depressed - I've started new medication to help with my mental illnesses, which could be the cause, but it's probably that coupled with the fact that I've had a REALLY shitty week.
- I had to have a blood test done, and the nurse was a bitch and yanked the needle out of my arm because I GUESS I was an inconvenience to her since I have a phobia of needles and had to lay down to have it done, lest I'm sure I would've passed out. I have a big-ass bruise on my arm now.
- Then I was in my first car crash, and while no one was physically injured, it sent my anxiety off the charts and, while trying to have my weekly needle, my boyfriend was being kind of an asshole so I broke down crying and also yelled at him. But at least we dealt with the issue that caused him to act the way he had been.
- And THEN just today I found out I saved over my YCH pose file, so now I have to redraw the 5 poses I deleted, and I have NO backups, so I can't post any YCHs until those are done!! Augh!

So, needless to say, I'm feeling pretty awful. That coupled with the fact that I haven't been able to keep on top of my chores... I'm feeling like a useless piece of shit again. I know I'm not, and I know I've done a LOT this week (by my standards)... but I still haven't done everything I needed to so I feel bad and awful and horrible.

Here's hoping next month is better.

To be fair it has been for a while, but until I get some new commissions done I only have ONE new piece of content to upload, which is Ziel's new SFW ref that I just finished! ^^

It's official: I'm closing my fursuit commissions indefinitely.
While I love making fursuits and they'd pay well if I could, I can't do the work without major physical repercussions. This has been clear to me for a while now, but I certainly think part of that is due to the stress it causes me -- the fact that I'm put in physical pain for the next week after I've worked on something certainly isn't made any better by my anxiety telling me how awful I am for taking so long to get my customers what they paid for.

I might consider taking on projects for heads alone, because they're one of the easiest and most enjoyable parts for me to make. I know there's a higher demand for everything except heads, but it's more physical pain than reward in my case. It's simply not worth it for me.

But I absolutely will not stop making fursuits -- I'll probably end up making a bunch of suits for myself, lol. Or maybe some premades if I feel up to it. But I just... can't meet the demand of serious commission work. I just can't do it. I'm one guy doing everything myself, who's not happy doing it.

What has been paid for will be completed, and I hope to get the last of what I owe done this year.
I'm going to need to take on more drawing commissions for trips to the massage parlor. :'3

Just writing a little thing to let everyone know I'm re-organizing how my price page is set up.
Instead of listing the style and the price range for that style, I'm instead going to list a price range and what type of art piece that price range can buy. This is because I've figured out that price range of a single style can vary GREATLY depending on the complexity of the piece.

So, for a price range of $10 - $20, you can buy a Teeny Tiny Pixel, a simple Chibi, or a simple Bust Sketch. I'll show specific examples of what types of characters / concepts would fall within this range, so if you're like "I just want a bust of my pure white wolf character", you'll be able to tell that your character is simple and would fall within that price range.

However, a piece of a character with complex armor, for example, might fall within the $150 - $200 price range, and I'll provide an example of that (if I have it).

If you don't see an example similar to what you're looking for, you'll have to ask me for a direct quote.
To be fair you USUALLY have to ask me for a quote anyway, but I hope this makes it easier for people who have a strict budget to pick out what they're able to afford! ^^

these past few days have been REALLY bad for me sleep-wise
i haven't been able to sleep when i needed to despite being crazy amounts of tired and even up for abnormally long
+ when i HAVE slept it's been immediately into REM sleep / "dream sleep" -- very weird, vivid dreams
ive had sleep issues for a long time but i had a sleep study done and they said everything was normal but tbh i slept abnormally well for being there
but the inability to get to sleep when i need to + the REM sleep means im just plain not getting the good rest i so desperately need
i feel extremely tired rn but its only like 12PM and i dont particularly want to go to bed at such an early hour despite being awake all night
im gonna try to stay up a while longer but... idk how long ill last all things considering
im certainly not well enough to do any kind of work right now...
i just hope this is just one of those bad weeks for me and that ill get a decent rest soon :c

While I'd like to be accommodating, it has become apparent to me that allowing commissioners to request a private update on their commission whenever they like is time-consuming and inefficient. Therefore, I have added this section to my Terms of Service to solve this issue:
- Private update requests are limited to once a month. My Public Work Update is linked on the Home Page and is also updated once a month.
- I will contact you whenever I have significant progress on your commission to report.
I don't want my commissioners to feel scared to talk to me, but I also don't want to have a commissioner send me a note every week only to have to respond with "I haven't started yet" -- ESPECIALLY since I usually have a small queue and certainly won't start a commission within the first one or two weeks of receiving it. ^^;

As well, I've already been sending commissioners updates whenever I've gotten significant work done. I've been doing this pretty much since I started taking commissions way back when, so commissioners really shouldn't have to message me within the timeframe I've given them in the first place - they should be expecting word from me instead. (With the exception of fursuit commissions, of course.)

Anyway. I just wanted to inform my commissioners/followers/potential commissioners of this change! Of course, you're still free to ask questions regarding commissions - such as potential changes, clarification on terminology, quotes, etc! I'd just prefer to keep unnecessary back-and-forth to a minimum. :P

Hey all!
I know I posted a journal last month stating that I'd be closing my public commission list. I've been thinking about it a bit, trying to come up with a better solution, because I know how important a public commission list actually is - but I also don't want to be upkeeping multiple lists every single day.

So, what I think I'll do - for NOW - will be to post a journal here on FurAffinity at the beginning of every month stating what commissions I currently have, what state they're in, and what commissions I've gotten done in the last month. I'll also list any other work I've done, such as merchandise, since I want to start supplementing my commissions with commercially available designs.

Until I can come up with a better solution, this will have to do. I apologize if you don't like FurAffinity, but if anything my FA isn't hidden from guests so even people who don't have an account can come and check up on the commission list journal. I'll put a link to it on my website and update it once a month as well!

Hey all! I wanted to hop in here and ask about how you folks would feel about me uploading art of my characters I got from other people. I'm kind of torn about it myself, because while I DO want to promote other artists, I don't want to flood my watchers with art I haven't done myself, since that's not what they watched me for (or at least, that's how I feel about it).

If I DID post artwork I got from other artists, I'd definitely be posting it straight to my scraps, and have a dedicated folder to those submissions to prevent any confusion when potential commissioners look at my gallery. Currently I host my characters on my Toyhou.se, but you wouldn't be able to see NSFW art unless you got an account there and enabled it.

Part of me is debating doing a dedicated character tumblr, which would serve as both a host of art I got from other folks and an ask blog so if you wanted to know anything about my characters you could ask me there - issue is, I'd probably need a SFW and a NSFW version of this blog, and I've got a small hoard of tumblr blogs already (kind of for this very reason). And no - I am not willing to use a second FA / Weasyl / whatever account for this purpose. It's a pain having to log in every time I'd want to use that account.

SO, let me know what you think! Would you be okay seeing artwork I got from other people involving my characters? Would you prefer I make a dedicated tumblr blog for that? Do you NOT want to see that art? I care about your opinions!
