Terms of Service
By commissioning from Zilya Naga Costume Shop you agree to the following terms:
General Information
Please have a reference sheet, Zilya Naga Costume Shop will not take orders that do not have visual references to keep everything in order. We do not wish to mistakenly leave out important details so please make sure everything is clearly visible in your references. The exception to this rule is artistic liberty orders, where we will take a written description of what you would like, and create it how we envision it. For this reason, artistic liberty orders are not as expensive as other orders that are made to exact details.
A Duct Tape Dummy is required for all costumes that have foam on the legs and any orders that include tight fitting pants.
Deadlines and Due Dates
We do not typically take orders with due dates, to ensure we have ample time to dedicate to your project in order to provide the quality of craftsmanship you deserve. If you need your costume by a particular date, please place your order well in advance so we can work on it properly and so that it can be shipped out to you in time.
Rush Orders
Zilya Naga Costume Shop does not take rush orders.
Updates and Communication
Every attempt will be made to include you in the creation process of your costume. This can take place via our Facebook page or through another form of private correspondence.
Small Orders
Payment in full, up front, is required for orders under $100 US.
Payments
Payment plans are available, with a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the final commission price.
Payment plan options
Weekly payments processed each Monday.
Monthly payments processed on the 15th of each month.
Monthly payments processed on the 1st of each month.
Missed Payments
If, once you have a payment plan set up, you cannot make your payment on time, please notify us as soon as you can so we can work something out. There is a seven day grace period for you to contact us if you miss a payment. However, if we do not hear from you in that time, there will be a 10% late fee added to the cost of your next payment and your order will be put on hold. If you do not contact us about your missing payments after three months, your order will be terminated and any funds that have been applied to it will be nonrefundable.
Dropped Contact
If you do not respond to a request from us (such as a request for a shipping address), we will attempt contact two more times, each one month after the last. At the three month mark, we will set your order aside. After six months without contact, your order will be terminated with a one month grace period to reach us before disassembly.
Canceled and Terminated Orders
A terminated order will be altered or disassembled, then either sold for the remaining cost of the original order, or used as parts in another order. Depending on how much was paid on the order, you may or may not receive a refund. All refunds are the amount paid into the order minus the nonrefundable deposit and any late fees that may have accrued. All refunds will be made via PayPal. If you paid in less than the deposit and late fee combined, you will not receive a refund.
Shipping
All shipping costs will be calculated once your order is completed and boxed for shipping. Buyer is responsible for shipping. We will ship through any carrier of your choice.
Returns and Repairs
We will not accept returns for orders unless there is very clearly a problem in construction (such as parts falling off or seams busting). In those cases, we will repair the order free of charge so long as we are notified of the issue within thirty days of you receiving your order for the first time. We cannot repair damages that resulted from shipping or blatant neglect. If you need a repair, please let us know as soon as possible, with pictures, and ship your order back to us as soon as you can.
We can repair damage related to normal wear and tear; contact us for information on pricing.
Please only send back clean orders. We will not work with soiled or dirty materials.
Please carefully examine your order upon receipt to ensure quality and adherence to your specifications. We can not accept returns on orders after thirty days of receipt or confirmation of client satisfaction.
Information on Duct Tape Dummies and How to Make Them
When making your duct tape dummy, we highly recommend this tutorial: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9749962/
Please only use ‘Max’ or ‘Outdoor’ strength Duck Tape brand tape. This is the only type of tape that can withstand the humidity and handling your Duct Tape Dummy will encounter in shipping.
Please use Hefty garbage bags or heavy duty construction garbage bags. The plastic is tough enough to withstand being taped, cut, taped back together, and stuffed.
While making your dummy, stand perfectly straight with your legs slightly apart. Do not lean to one side or the other. It’s best to have at least one friend help you with this.
Make sure that everything is the same length, do not have the bottom of one leg end an inch above the other. Your order will come out lopsided.
When you re-tape the slits cut into your dummy (so that you can get out), please repair them by wrapping tape around in strips that overlap horizontally across the slit. It will take more tape, but this ensures that your dummy will not burst open when we stuff it.
If you are only doing legs for your dummy, please remember to tape up as far as you want the legs of your order to go, We recommend going at least as high as where your everyday pants sit.

Post Con update
Posted 8 years agoI'm feeling invigorated after the con! Seeing everyone has inspired me to take my costuming more seriously as a whole and I want to work on things more consistently.
I will be trying very hard to keep things updated on my social media even if I don't have a completed project to show off.
Also it is now possible to contact me via telegram at Zilya Naga so if you're interested in chit chatting with me please hit me up either there, on tumblr, Facebook or here.

Still Alive! And Announcements
Posted 8 years agoOnce again I have not been online for a long couple of months
Someday I will have my depression under better control and I will be able to remember that I should contact people I would like to eventually call my friends.
I am going to be at Anime Detour in the beginning of April so I will try to post some WIP pics of my costumes for that, feel free to ask for my instagram, facebook, and tumblr info if you want to be able to contact me directly.

New paw pattern?
Posted 9 years agoWorking on a few new ideas for paw patterns trying to figure out which one works best for my style and such. Within a week or so I should have a final pattern ready to go for orders!
I also am working out a few problems I've been having on the design of some hooves that I have, so be sure to keep an eye out for future announcements about progress there.
By this time next year I hope to have some artistic liberty full suit commissions open for some of the megafauna from the Pleistocene era such as a Giant North American Ground Sloth and maybe even a Smilodon.

Future plans
Posted 9 years agoI'm trying to be on more often now that I've got a different job with some better hours. Some point in the near future I plan to be making a Bat Partial to be sold and I've got a few new ideas for making hand paws so I'll have some of them posted soon as well.
So all in all you should keep your eyes out for
Bat Partial
Hand paws
Foot paws
Dragon maskCommissions are open!
Posted 9 years agoHey everybody I'm open for some commissions including some art and up to costume things. Please feel free to ask for quotes on things since I'm trying to expand my portfolio and such.
Car troubles
Posted 9 years agoUnfortunatly my little zippy car that has been my way of transport for the last four years needs some major work to keep going.
SO that means I'll be putting up a few things for sale in the coming days as I finish them up and get them ready to go.
If you have any questions just ask either below or send me a message

Three month update
Posted 9 years agoI try to make these more frequently, but they seem to end up being about three months apart regardless so...
I'm back from Anime Detour, had a lot of fun running around seeing people and buying things. Need to update my costumes again, but now at least I'll have more time to work on them instead of having to rush.
I'm thinking of making some pre-mades soon so please let me know if you have any suggestions, and I think I'm going to have to part with my little wolf helm partial since he's just taking up space right now and I don't know when I'll be able to use him next.
Last of all, please let me know if you'd like to see something new here on my page or anything you'd like to see my try out, I can't promise I'll do everything suggested, but it would be cool to know what all of you are thinking.

Updates and my WIP
Posted 10 years agoI'm experimenting with sculpting over dolls and such to make new things from them, and so fare I have a centaur halfway made with plans for some other mythical creatures in the future if I were to offer these as premades would anyone be interested in seeing them? I'm hoping that eventually I can make models of peoples characters and fursonas among other things.
Halfway though some experimental sockpaws, and soon I'll be making a helm for a local theater production. so I'm going to be busy, but I will have some more things to post here in the near future.
Unrelated note, one of the windows in my workroom is really drafty and it sucks

How to talk to me while I'm on vacation
Posted 10 years agoOkay everybody here's the deal, I'm going to be gone for a while [two weeks] so if you need to contact me, email is the best way to do it. If you need my email it's on my page in my description.
I'll try my best to get some pictures while I'm gone to show you guys when I get back, and I'm hoping to get a fair bit of work done on a mask I'm making before I go so I might be posting some WIP if I remember to take pictures.

Tail update
Posted 10 years agoSo I've edited the posts with the tails for sale. They are really taking up way too much room in my workshop, and I'll be leaving for Pennsylvania at the end of June, so I would like to get them out the door before I leave on the 19th.
If you are interested and don't have the money right now, please let me know so I know that someone is interested. I will be making some other types of tails when I get back from my trip, so let me know what you would like to see.
Please leave any suggestions.

Tails anyone?
Posted 10 years agoI've finally had some time to finish up a few tails that I've been working on slowly while on break at work. When I get home from work tomorrow I'll post a few pictures of them for you guys to see.
I'm also planning on making a pre-made head once I have the tails out the door, so I have a little cash for my trip out to Pennsylvania that's coming up.

Oops It's Been A While
Posted 10 years agoSo how have y'all been? I'm terrible at keeping my FA updated as I'm sure some of you have seen. So UPDATES!
I don't currently have a paw pattern since I'm looking into doing something that is a little more delicate looking that the one I currently have.
I will be getting a head base soon so I can start making heads in the future alongside Inty to help move things along.
Also if you're character has clothing like loose pants, or a tunic like shirt, or even a princess dress and you want to have it custom made I also do regular sewing commissions! Sewing commissions would be very similar to regular commissions, but you have to talk to me personally about what it is you want before I can take any on. I know the limits of my skills and I would rather make something simpler for you that is well made then try something that is beyond my skill level and mess it up on you.
If nothing else please let me know what sort of things you would like to see from me in the future so I have some goals to get to

blahblahblah
Posted 11 years agoI finally have a few days off from my day job due to the holiday season so if I get time between seeing relatives and catching up with friends I will be able to work on some new stuff for you guys to see. Right now I have a plan brewing that might evolve into something bigger, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up if my idea flops on me.
REMINDER!!!
I am open for a few parts orders right now so if anyone is interested in checking in on that just email me about it please.
Sometime soon I will be able to post about some parts that I have in my workroom right now my camera is bugging out on me so fingers crossed for getting a new one on the 25th.

TOS
Posted 11 years agoMost of this is the same as ~interrobang~ due to the simple fact that I am their apprentice. Due to my day job I will accept commissions when I can, BUT ONLY AFTER I AM FINISHED WITH ANY PROJECTS I HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY ~interrobang~ I don't use the note system so please e-mail me if you are interested.
I am your humble costume maker, not a character designer. If you have no idea what you want to order, and you do not want an artistic liberty order, you are a step ahead of yourself. Please, sit down and figure everything out, I do not mind making suggestions but I cannot not walk you through making a character, have fun, look at other people's suits, get some ideas :)
~Terms Of Service~
BY COMMISSIONING ME YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS
~GENERAL INFO~
You will need a character reference sheet in order to commission me. The Only way I accept a detailed description for characters is when you do not have art. Why? Because not having a ref sheet leaves far too many accidental errors open to happen. It is far easier for me to make EXACTLY what you want, when I have something solid to work off of. I apologize if that causes any issues for anyone.
A DTD (duck tape dummy) is required for making bodies and legs
~DEADLINES/DUE DATES~
At this current time, I do not accept due dates outside of rush orders. I will however attempt to make sure an order is done for a specific event, but please understand there is a 30% chance that the date will not be met. Sorry for the inconvenience.
~RUSH ORDERS~
I do take on rush orders, but you will be paying $150+ more to be push ahead of everyone else. I will not take on a rush order less than three weeks to the due date, this is to allow time for materials to ship and get here in plenty of time for me to work.
DISCLAIMER~ Rush orders tend to be ever so slightly less quality than my regular commissions due to the extra amount of work and sleepless nights it requires to get it done, so please keep that in mind when you are considering a rush order.
~UPDATES AND CHANGES~
I try to keep people updated on whats going on so, please, there is no reason to note me more than once every few weeks about your order. Bugging me everyday about your order will result in termination of the project.
If you want something changed on your order please try to get changes to me before I start work. Sometimes things just cannot be changed once a project gets so far.
~SMALL ORDERS~
Payment must be done in full for all small orders. I also do not take them on very often because they are far too easy to neglect and that is not fair to you, the buyer.
~PAYMENTS~
I do take payment plans! However, you cannot claim a commission slot until I receive 50% of the agreed upon commission price that is a nonrefundable deposit that goes right to supplies and planning.
I prefer payment plans to proceed as such:
1. One payment every 7 days. If your first payment is Monday, EVERY payment is Monday.
2. One payment every 20 days. Each payment is expected exactly 20 days later.
3. Once a Month. If your payment is on the 1st, EVERY payment is on the first.
~CONTACT/MISSED PAYMENTS~
Once we have agreed upon a regular payment schedule (weekly, biweekly, every month ect) I will expect payment on the agreed time. However if you cannot make a payment for any reason, please, let me know. I very understanding , if you need more time all you need to do it tell me. I do EXPECT a note, or email letting me know what is going on. There will be a week grace period for you to contact me, if you do not, there will be a 10% penalty fee and your order will be put on hold. If no contact is made for over 3 months I will terminate the order. NO EXCEPTIONS! I do not like terminating orders, please, keep in contact.
~DROPPED CONTACT~
If I request either information to finish your order, or to get your shipping address to send your order and you do not respond, I will only contact you once or twice more. If I do not hear from you within three months your order will be set aside until I hear from you, if I do not hear from you within six months the order will be terminated and no more work will be done. If I do not hear from you within a year, I will disassemble the project for salvage and you will not be eligible for a refund for not only failing to keep in contact, but for overall rudeness and time wasting. I really do NOT like to do this, so please, keep in contact.
~TERMINATED/CANCELED ORDERS~
What happens to an order once it is terminated? A terminated order will be disassembled or altered to preserve your character, then sold off for the mount that was left to pay on it. Depending on what you paid in, you may or may not receive a refund. If a refund is issued, it will be minus the nonrefundable deposit fee and the 10% penalty fee, all refunds will be sent via Paypal. If what you paid in is less than the total amount of the deposit plus the penalty fee together, no refund will be issued.
~SHIPPING~
Shipping will be calculated once the suit is done an boxed up. You are responsible. for shipping. Shipping is done via Fedex, USPS, and DHL. I do not use UPS.
~RETURNS/REPAIRS
~I do not accept returns for costumes unless it's something large that was obviously my fault (Example: An obvious marking forgotten, eye fell out, nose fell off, ect) then I will repair the costume free of charge for 30 days after you receive it for the first time. I cannot repair damages that resulted from the shipping process or blatant neglect, keep in mind I can tell the difference between damages cause by normal wear and tear and damages caused by negligent use, please do not do horrible things to your costumes and expect me to repair them.
If you need a repair, let me know ASAP with PICTURES of the damage & mail it back to me as soon as possible.
~Please wash any items that need repair before sending them, if you do not, there will be a fee for me to have to wash it and I will NOT send you your costume back until it is paid.
~I will also NOT accept returns for any costume you tell me is fine/perfect after you get it, then a few days/weeks later change your mind. When you give me the "OK" right away, I will assume you have put the costume on, tried it out, and found nothing wrong with it.
~EXTRA INFO~
When making DTD legs PLEASE USE THIS TUTORIAL! ~~~~>http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9749962/
-ONLY USE "Max" or "Outdoor" Duck Tape brand tape! This is the strongest kind I know of and it can take things like humidity which is an issue where I live.
-PLEASE, use Hefty Brand Garbage bags only! They are made of a very tough plastic
-Stand perfectly straight, with your legs slightly apart. Do NOT lean to one side or the other!
-Be sure that both sides are the same length!
-When being cut out slit down the side of one leg, then re tape, but remember to repair the sit by wrapping tape around the leg in strips that overlap NOT vertical strips or the DTD will burst open when I stuff it!
-Please make sure that you tape up as far as you want the legs to go, I suggest going up as high as your everyday pants normally sit for 3/4th DTDs
