is FA still active? it's been so long since i've uploaded to an actual gallery and i really miss that community feeling. admittedly i haven't been able to draw for a long time. i feel like i've been burnt out for years at this point. i also kind of stopped trying, so i guess the only solution is to try again.

Posted 6 years agoWas a hoot! Thanks so much to everyone I met, bumped into, hung out with, and so on. Special thanks to Celestina and Jubei for the room space, I was super glad to finally hang out with them and also Cel is like, the sweetest person alive.
I am so grateful for the furry fandom after this experience- it was so nice to be in a space where everyone was accepting, open, and unapologetically themselves. On behalf of my partner and myself, thank you guys so much. I’m not ready to go back to normie life. I definitely didn’t get to meet up with everyone(I keep seeing more and more cool folks that went and I didn’t even know!), but I’ll definitely be doing TFF again. We will probably do ACFI too, so see you there!

Intuos Draw - Pen dragging issue
Posted 6 years agoNot really sure how to describe this. Basically, when drawing my lines don't stop right away after I lift the pen from my tablet? I've replaced the pen, I've replaced the nibs, disabled Windows Ink, and turned down the sensitivity and have yet to fix the issue. The only thing I haven't done yet is update the driver, which I'm a little hesitant to do because I've heard that a lot of folks are having issues with the newest ones? I have a wireless kit, but I have the same issue in both wired and wireless mode. Any thoughts?

Commission + life updates.
Posted 7 years agoHowdy folks! Just wanted to pop in and give you all a general update on the status of my current commission queue and the future of my commissions in general.
First off, I just got a new part-time job! I started today. I'm not solid on just how many hours I'll be getting until I'm through with training, but I imagine I'll be working between 20 and 30, which leaves me plenty of room to keep working on art, but if there's a bit of a slowdown that's likely why. That said, my day job does not take priority over my commissioned work. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me at any point if you're a current(or future!) commissioner!
Regarding commissions, my plan for right now is to catch up on my full color pieces foremost, and then work on this month's icon queue. All commissions are currently closed with the exception of bean icons, which will likely remain open indefinitely. After this current batch is completed, commissions will most likely be taken on a stream-only basis dependent on my new work schedule. I also have a few projects I'd like to start working on that I've put off for a while because I just haven't had the time or energy, so expect some personal uploads in the future! I'm very excited to share some ideas of mine that have been stewing.
All in all, I've had an amazing 2+ years working for you guys full-time, and I genuinely can't see myself putting a stop to commissioned art unless I run out of people to draw for. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for enabling me to do what I love.

Desktop recommendations??
Posted 7 years agoKipper0308 and I are looking to get a good desktop computer at some point. My laptop is about 4 years old now and I use it primarily for work so it's not really necessary for me to get another laptop at this point. I've never bought a PC desktop though, so I'm not really sure what specs to look for. Anyone out there a little more tech-savvy that can give me some recommendations for a budget-friendly good quality desktop? I'm looking for something with a good display(the colors on my laptop really suck) and while we're not big PC gamers it is important that we can run Adobe programs without any issues or major lag. Basically, we'd be using it for art, streaming, recording and video editing. I'm told Asus, Lenovo, and MSI are good options and that Dell is garbage. I've had HP laptops which run fine, but I don't know about their desktops.
Suggestions would be appreciated!

And I have nearly a thousand submissions in my inbox. Whoops.
Just poking my head in to apologize for my lack of activity here. I'm still working through my current commission queue, so most of my
focus has gone towards that. I have a lot of art to upload to both FA and Twitter, so expect a decently sized dump over the next couple days!
Commissions are closed as heckie until I have these last couple things finished, and then I will probably be doing most of my slots
in-stream(and remember to post stream notifications here aaaaa). I'm definitely going to be doing lots of holiday themed things in December, so keep an eye out!

re: current icon queue
Posted 8 years agoHey y'all! I know I've got a chunk of folks waiting on quickie icons from me, so I thought I'd pop in to give a heads up that I'll be streaming icons tomorrow morning/afternoon. I've been dedicating my time to the larger items in my queue for the majority of the past week, and now that I've made some headway I'd like to take a day to power through some quickies. I should be able to finish the current batch in 2-3 sessions, so tomorrow expect lots of icon deliveries at the end of the day! That said, I've gone ahead and closed the icon form for now to keep them from piling up, so if you're itching to order a quickie icon, check back in a couple days! (I never get tired of doing these.)

i heckin fell last night

I'm fine, just really sore and scraped up. Last night at kipper0308's parents house we decided to race up the driveway because
we're five and I fell forward really hard onto my knees and hands. Unfortunately, my hands caught the brunt of my fall so they're
pretty sore, which means I might be working a wee slower than usual. Luckily though my non-dominant hand is the one that got
banged up worse, and though I use both while drawing it shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as I keep them bandaged up.
At any rate, I expect to heal up quickly enough but for the sake of transparency if you notice a slow in my work output, that's
probably why. Please don't be afraid to message me though! I'm also going to try to get back into streaming this week since I
haven't really done so since I got settled here.
Oh yeah! I live in Texas now. I moved here about two weeks ago and it rules so far and I've eaten too many tacos to count. I've also
gotten a couple messages asking if I'm okay so it's worth mentioning we're in SA and only got a bit of wind and rain from Harvey, and
a tree down across the street - but I appreciate the concern!
Hope y'all are having a good labor day! I'm gonna go buy some dead leaves and pretend fall happens in Texas.
(I'm actually gonna go take a hot bath, oooof.)

I think it's because I don't really know where to begin. I've pretty much been learning by looking at stuff and guessing the process
over the years, but that's not really enough for me to get anywhere substantial.

Howdy folks! I'd just like to offer a little apology for the delay in work. The beginning of my week was super productive but I've lost a little bit of steam, so as a result I'm
running behind a day or two. While it's not a huge delay, I know I've had a few of you waiting for WIPs and I want to apologize for not keeping my word. I really hate to
say "I'll have this ready for you on Wednesday!" and then leave people thinking "Zi where the heck is my stuff you FOOL". No matter what I do I always work slower than
I think I can. That in particular is something I'm trying desperately to work on because this keeps happening- so thanks so much for your patience while I do so. I'm

I think the reason it felt off is because of the brush I was using, I must have messed with the settings enough to make it feel foreign to me. So tl;dr I'm an idiot LOL.
