Ugh, Art Block
Posted 14 years agoI keep trying to draw something but I find myself drawing the same poses I always draw, and then I just go all "this sucks" over the drawing and erase it x.x Does anybody have any idea of how to overcome that?

I wasn't expecting them to put a MLP banner, considering a lot of people seem to hate pony-related stuff around here, but I really like it! That brown color reminds me of chocolate XD Although I don't get the "Denial is Magic" part. I find the expression on Rednef hilarious XD

You can find a good example of a comic in the gallery, It's really pretty! I find her drawings really cute and the comics very well done, and the pages aren't that expensive for a small comic, IMO. So go check it out!

Posted 14 years ago... and then SAI stopped working for a moment. Sometimes it does that when it has to do something that takes a lot of time. And then just as I clicked on the window the Windows popup of "This programm stoped working" appeared and I clicked on "Close this program" accidentally... and I hadn't saved any of it. And I was just finishing the inks.

Website Design
Posted 14 years agoI've had a web domain somewhere for a while, but I don't really know what to do or how to design the website. I'm a programmer but I know nothing about Graphic/Web Design XD; so, anybody has any ideas what to do with it? Or, a link to some site with Web Design tips? =P
Pokemon White first impressions
Posted 14 years agoWell, I got my copy of pokemon white today. I've played just past the first gym, and here are some things I liked and some that bothered me.Keep in mind I didn't read much about the game before buying it:
New Story and characters: I like the story so far, and the characters look pretty interesting. As in the recent games, there are other two trainers (or "rivals") besides your character, but this time I feel like both of them seem equally important and with their own personality. Also, the beginning of the game takes lot less than in other games.
Pixelated art: Ok, this one I saw in screenshots and I was pretty disapointed about how noticeable is it. When you face a pokemon, the perspective of the camera changes constantly, but the sprites remain the same. So your own pokemon, closer to you, looks very, very pixelated, and the opponent looks very tiny (but maybe this changes with bigger opponents?). I really dislike how pixelated the pokemon looks, since I think they could have done bigger sprites for the pokemons closer to you. Unless it has something to do with triple duels, then it would make sense if all three pokemon stay in screen.
Hold B to run: Seriously? After letting you just have the running shoes on all the time in gold and silver, they go back to making you press that button all the time. What's up with removing this feature? and about removed features...
There's no menu all the time: If I remember correctly, in HG and SS you constantly had the menu in the touch screen for quick access. Now you have to press X again to make it appear, but at least it is still a touch screen menu.
Can't have pokemon follow you: Yeah, it's not a very important feature but it was interesting. I wish they could have kept that, it would even fit with the story IMO. (Maybe it's available later? dunno, haven't read much about the game)
New Pokemons: I like the new pokemons, they look good and it's fun to use completely new pokemons. I still haven't seen a lot of them, since most of the pokemon encounters in the first gym are the same.
Route number reset: Finally, the route numbers have been reset in this city. It makes more sense than "Oh yeah, ours is route 42 because another country already has a route 41" anyway. (Just using example numbers)
Reusable TM: Pretty good change! Now I don't have to worry about using the TMs I get from Gym Leaders. It does feel rewarding to get an item that you can use right away without worrying.
First Gym: I found the first city very interesting because of the way you fight the Gym Leader. I don't think they did that before. Also, you get a free pokemon there, depending on your starter! Just found it interesting.
Overall, I still find it a very very fun game, and I like how the game looks (Except in battles). But I find it disappointing that some of the nice feature from HG and SS are gone. My bet is that when they release a third, extended version, some of these feature might be there (I guess). And the thing I hate the most is the battle sprites and moves. They tried to make them look 3D but that just makes them look less pretty than before. Specially since the sprites are scaled and they look weird when they are not just the right size.
Also, I missed the second legendary beast event and the Celebi event (arrggh, stupid offline events). Anybody willing to trade, just to unlock Zoroa and the Celebi event?

Posted 16 years agoAre you interested in character sketches like the ones I've done lately? Well, I think I'm gonna see how it works out and open some commission slots for them.
an example would be something like:

They would be colored and with a solid-color background (or transparent background if you want). You would send me references to your character(s) and the pose you would like him in (not very detailed!), and I would draw it in that style.
The prices would be:
Clean pictures:
$10 for single colored character (regular commission would be $20!)

Trouble uploading pics
Posted 16 years agoIs there anybody having trouble uploading pics around this time?
I haven't been able to upload things at this time for a while, but I think it might be my Internet. A mozilla page appears telling me the server may be too busy, but the FA page that says the server is busy doesn't appear. So I dunno if FA is really busy or my internet doesn't allow me to upload for some reason. Any ideas?
EDIT: I can upload through a proxy... weird...

I can be on only in the weekends (unless I get the internet installed this week, I'm working on that!). So I'll try to update things saturdays and sundays.

I've been also thinking of making some rules about what I would not draw but I'm still not sure exactly what to put there, so I think I'll make those as I go. So please don't be offended if I tell you that your idea makes me uncomfortable.
So yeah, if you want to commission me you can send me a note =P

Just some updates

I haven't drawn much lately, I'm really sorry T.T but I'm working on that.
For the winners of the ADLM raffle, I'm already working on your drawings =D I just can't come up with a sketch I like enough for you xD;
Also, I've been looking for a job, and hopefully I get one next week. Meanwhile I'll continue drawing and trying to come up with something I actually like =P
I hope everybody is ok! And sorry for not being around too much lately, the "looking for a job" thing actually happened so suddenly that I think it screwed up my plans somehow.
I haven't drawn much lately, I'm really sorry T.T but I'm working on that.
