It has come to my attention that Today is Self-harm awareness day. I am not a person who has done that, but I know people who have. I have a sibling who cut herself and I had suicidal thoughts that I have actually come quite close to pulling off.

It has also come to my attention that a good chunk of people are also unaware of this… Or worse… don’t care about humans as much as they do a bunch of pixels and a voice on a screen. Now I know that isn’t true, because I have faith in humanity…

But every day it gets harder to have a little faith in something that does so little to prove itself as a whole.

Homestuck fandom… Trolls are not nice little kids who have a convoluted social hierarchy. They are Nordic monsters that killed people and ate them. They did not make themselves cute and sweet. They dragged you off and beat you till you were dead and devoured your corpse. They live underground and the sun turns them to stone.

MLP fandom… Ponies are a kind of horse. That show you watch is just that. A show. Sticking what’s-her-face in a picture of the Holocaust doesn’t make it more real, it just means you’ve lost your humanity to a cartoon.

Everyone in any fandom… I hope you go to someone you care about and give them a hug. Tell them you think they are beautiful and ask them never to hurt themselves… I know that the people I have that I am friends with… They are beautiful and I love them all. I don’t care what you think or if you reblog this.

Also, if any one wants to start shit… I will tell you this. I have a mask that lets me say what I am… Your mask says what you are too. You may be invisible in your own anonymity… But … heh… Your blackness stands out to me more than your cruel barbs ever will.
