Happily married to 
One of the most painful things that have ever been said to me came from the least likely of sources.
More painful than being told I was a complete disgrace because of who I was.
More so than being told I'm a disappointment for what I am.
And yet more than being told that no matter what, I will always be their biggest regret.
That one soul rending sentence was uttered by someone who I, to this day, consider to be my closest friend.
Those words were "...I'm leaving..."

hope evanesced
lamentations turned spiritus frumenti
a dipsomaniacal shell left behind.
53 days on the wagon
fortnightly gatherings enforcing abstemiousness
a member of the zipper club
an electronic ticker, magnetophobic in nature
shattered...
maybe it's time to pick up the pieces.
time to move on.
time to recover a lost existence.
