The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Review (G)

We saw The Super Mario Galaxy Movie last night, and it was just a good, fun film. Mario, Luigi, and most of the returning characters from the first movie are still fun to watch, and the new characters are great additions to the world and lore of Super Mario. Rosalina and Bowser Jr. are good, and (Spoiler), Fox McClound is in the movie and has a bigger role than I thought, but he is just as fun as the rest of the cast.
The only nitpick I have to say about this movie is the same as the first one: it doesn't have a deep story, and they made some changes to some of the lore of the games, like Rosalina's origin story. So don't go into this movie expecting Pixar, Disney, or even DreamWorks level of storytelling. It's just a simple, fun movie for kids and families (and some Nintendo fans) to enjoy.
