The Celestials are the personified souls of stars in mortal husks. Formed from the purity of a mortal's soul, starfire, and the universe itself, a Celestial is essentially angelic in ranking. They are the guardians of the constellations, stars themselves, and galaxies, and they dwell in packs within their constellation known as Clusters. The strongest and brightest stars may choose to leave at will, thereby becoming "solitary".
Birth:
Celestials are formed with the combination of starfire, cosmic energy and a mortal soul of pure nature. The purer the soul, the more beautiful the result and the brighter the star.
For a Celestial to be born, five factors are necessary:
1. The mortal soul has to have abandoned its mortal form.
2. The mortal soul must be at least 20% untainted.
3. The soul must be able to contain starfire and cosmic energy.
4. The soul must receive the blessing of Sirias, Queen of the Celestials.
5. The soul must sleep within its star-host for a minimum of 4 months.
For a Celestial to form, they must first have left their mortal form completely. The soul cannot be tainted, or the starfire feeds off of the evil and creates what Celestials name a "Mortisa." These variations of Celestial are insane and evil incarnates who are hell bent on destruction for their own satisfaction.
If the soul cannot contain starfire, it cannot fuel its Core. Without the Core, the Celestial will die, as it is essentially like a human heart.
Sirias must also decide if the soul is worthy of a second chance at living again. If she agrees then the soul may accept "Metamorphosis" which is when the soul sleeps within the host of the soul - the star which they will then personify.
If Sirias declines the soul then it is either sent to Heaven or Hell, or if necessary, destroyed using a Starshot.
When the Metamorphosis begins, the soul is assigned a star to guard and absorb. If it can withstand the starfire, heat, and power for a minimum of four months then the Celestial is accepted. If not, it is sent to the lesser stars.
The First Celestial:
The first Celestial, Sirias, was formed when one of the constellations, Orion, recognized the purity in her soul as she was about to enter Heaven's Gates. He decided to offer her a chance at a second life, which she accepted. He then gave her responsibility over the Celestials and named her their creator and Queen.
Sirias lived in the mortal realm and visits from time-to-time. She has her own island, much like Eirana, which is where the Celestials reconvene for a meeting every full moon.
The birth of a Celestial is a rare occasion.
Lifespan:
Celestials generally live for the same amount of years as their star hosts, but if they die then they first implode and then explode. This is why most Celestials due to die will always return back to their stars. This means Queen Sirias is 230 Million years old.
The Celestial who passes is replaced and is honoured in a ceremony.
Celestials can die in normal ways, such as murder, crime, suicide, etc.
Governmental/Leadership:
The Celestials live in a monarchy, with Queen Sirias and her two adopted daughters as the ruler and co rulers. Her daughters are Atria and Eirana, and to be a daughter to Sirias, one must be a loyal member of the Cluster and show their worth.
The Princesses are given near-total dominion over their end of the cluster, with Eirana being Eastern and Atria Western.
There are also the Guardians, with Cyradis being the leader. The Guardians act as advisors, and personal guards to Sirias, Eirana and Atria respectively.
Queen Sirias's area of dominance is the whole of the Milky Way. There are other leaders, but they are secondary to Sirias.
Breeding Habits:
Male Celestials are scarce, and thus Celestial females make halflings more often than purebred Celestials. Celestials are the same as mortals in terms of intercourse and mating, except their "heats" peak at each season-change, solstice and equinox and whenever there is a full moon [hence the meeting being more than just a meeting].
Celestial children are usually starry, and shy as cubs/kits. Halflings are less starry than their Celestial parent, but contain stars within their forms and have a small glow. Heterochromia is common in halfling Celestials.
Familiars:
Celestials can create familiars out of constellations. For example, Eirana's constellation familiar is named Eiri and formed from a piece of the constellation Monoceros

Due to Eirana/Kiko quitting FA, and stuff, she left me the Celestials account and species and stuff,. So yeah, I'll be the new admin and owner for this species and account! Though I really hope it's not a permanent thing... Anyway, I thought I'd let you guys know, so you're not all "OMG wtf happened? You better not be stealing Kiko's stuff! RAWR *flips tables*" n wn;;
Anyways, I really hope I'll have free time soon to maybe draw up some cute adopts or maybe even some F2U stuff for this species! Not to mention I still need to draw out my own Celestials, aswell~ Hope you'll enjoy having me while I'm here! ; u;
