Backstory for Dart Barnstorm:

So, early on in Dart's life, he knew he was destined for something interesting. Always aspiring to reach the clouds, even from the very moment he could start flying. Right after class, he could always be found in the skies of Ponyville, and rarely enjoyed being on the ground at all. From age 5, Dart had always enjoyed being a rather polite colt, and was always taught to mind himself around his peers. Up until that one day when he finally climbed high enough, he felt like he was on top of the world when he touched one of the upper layers of clouds. So as a result, Dart found out his cutie mark, coincidentally in the shape of an altimeter dial. Dart spends most of his days now running missions and teaching future recon members at the Wonderbolts Academy. Of course his life isn't all work. He loves to just hang around Cloudesdale and Ponyville in his free time and see what there is to see. Dart loves to challenge friends to light-hearted competitions from time to time, especially when it comes to agility. He has the ability to 'snap' his wings back in order to clear some pretty difficult obstacles. Learning the ability from a couple of the more illustrious flyers in the Shadowbolts. Especially when he associated with Nightshade and Blueball Blitz. Both of which he was engaged in a light dogfight, but all parties decided it would be best to break formation and discuss things diplomatically instead, all matching speed almost perfectly.
