I just want to put this out there for future reference.
I am open to other people using my characters; I'm delighted if you enjoy them enough to want to see even more of them!

I do have some ground rules I'd like you to respect though.

1. Please always ask my permission.
- I will never ever ask you to pay me to use my characters. But they are precious to me, and I want to be certain that they are treated the way I want them to be.

2. Please specify in what way you want to use them.
- Are you including them in a commission for yourself? Has someone commissioned you to draw them? Are you planning to sell the image with them in it? Etc.

3. Please do not make up lore/backstory for my characters without my permission.

If I think of any others, I'll update this journal to include them.
Most of the time, I will likely give you permission.
I mean, if I like the idea, I may even chip in some of my own money to see the results.

I'm super glad if you like the characters I've gathered.
I ask that you please respect them, and me, as well.
