Greetings adventurers and trainers, welcome to the land of Ulvera! Here you'll find many Pokémon to encounter, including both old and new, with numerous areas to explore.
Unlike the regions you come from we offer a much different look into the vast world we live in, here us Pokémon have learned to live in near perfect harmony, constructing large cities and even learning a proper language of our own.
A society similar to what you've had in the past.
But given as this land is ruled by Pokémon the rules here are quite different, especially in regards to trainers and the capturing of Pokémon.
First off the use of any kind of Pokéball is forbidden so any who want to have one of us on your team will have to earn the Pokémon in questions trust, if they decide to let you catch them afterwards it's their choice.
The second is that you must treat us as equals and respect our laws and traditions.
And third is that you cannot enter the Royal Castle or any Temples without strict permission.
We hope you enjoy that your stay and journey exceeds your expectations! Stats

Ulverian Professor's Log #1 Regional Information (G)
Ulvera is a hot region primarily consisting of deserts and mesas, it's also the home and birthplace of Light type Pokémon. This is a region ruled and inhabited by literate Pokémon with sparse human populations throughout. Despite being a desert, the easy access to water and shelter makes living and visiting here a pleasant experience.
It's main point of interest is the royal city located on a large oasis in the northern half of the region. The city has lush greenery throughout the city and its outskirts due to it's location.
The city's architecture resembles ancient Egyptian design but with modern technology adapted into it, the use of the special crystals as light sources allows the city's beautiful night sky to be seen almost perfectly, only needing to move a few dozen yards from the city for a completely clear view into the stars.
Below the flourishing royal city is a sprawling crystal cavern; the cool air from the caves cools down the royal city, making it a paradise against the heat. These caves also supply the region with it's glowing crystals they use as light sources; however much of the cavern is unexplored, leaving many questions regarding the origins of these crystals. While sharing similar looks to the Terastal crystals of the Paldea region the crystals of Ulvera don't exhibit the same properties, these crystals also are speculated to connect to the Light typing of this region as they began showing their unusual glow around the same time the first Light type Pokémon appeared. It's rumored that this cavern is spread beneath the entire continent.
Several rivers branch off from the main oasis with smaller cities, towns, and farms constructed along them. These interconnected areas provide the food and clean water for the entire region; while all are connected to each other and the capital, they still act on their own and house their own temples and local leaders. Peace between the numerous cities and towns wasn't always the same as they are now; previous kings and queens have had issues keeping the outer cities individual needs met. The current ruler however, has done a marvelous job maintaining diplomatic peace.
In the southeast there's a near never-ending sandstorm that obscures that whole portion, so little is known. Many research teams have been sent to learn what they can, but the storm only gets more dangerous the further in you go. The mystery of the storm has been a constant intrigue to our scientific community and with newer inventions proving effective in weathering the storm. It's only a matter of time before a proper survey of the area is completed.
To the east and northeast are the mountainous badlands with many cave systems within. Heavy winds caused by southern storms make outer travel dangerous, so only exploration of the cave systems is recommended. Despite the troubles the weather has caused, the outer areas of the mountains have been proven to be possible to travel with proper preparations. These caves also provide the home to many of the subterranean Pokémon and containing a city of their own within. These vast cave networks supply the region with it's minerals used for various buildings, equipment, and research. The Pokémon of these mountains are a vital part of the lands sustainability.
The southern area leads to the ocean and houses most of the humans that have traveled to this region. While many live within the other cities, the majority stay here to assist other humans coming to the region, primarily the trainers due to the differences in laws here that govern how they can interact with the citizens of Ulvera. The towns here more resemble what humans are used to, the larger buildings and stores that they have become accustomed to back in their homelands.
The western and southwestern side is a large Savannah; the rest of the human-made cities are here, but due to the frequent lightning storms most preferred to stay in the calmer areas. As one would assume the Electric type Pokémon enjoy the storms here, many started staying close too or with the humans of this area. The large trees here provide most of the lumber, and the Pokémon working here take great care to keep the trees replanted so we don't have to worry about them running out.
And to the northwest are many towering plateaus, on the tallest of which the sacred Temple of Light was constructed. Not only is it the tallest point in the region, it's also the only other known entrance to the crystal caverns. This peak is where the fabled Dragon of Light first emerged so the first temple was built here in both its and the first humans honor. Upon that same night the ground below cracked, showing the caverns beneath.
Several old journals hint at our birth, saying that in ancient times near the birth of the region the first king of Ulvera was but the Pokémon of the first human to find the region. They traveled the world by each others side and eventually found our land. Back then we weren't as sophisticated as we are now, we showed higher intelligence from other regions but still acted as normal Pokémon. There also was no signs of our signature typing either. Once that trainer made camp Pokémon from around the area showed interest and have made rudimentary homes of their own. Over time both the trainer's and Pokémon's building skills and communication developed, forming both the first town this region ever had as well as an early language that resembled average human speech. Over a decade passed and they all have formed a tight community and new beliefs, even treating that trainer as their leader but he refused as he was starting to grow old so he suggested his Pokémon instead have that honor, instead taking an advisory role for him. Only about a year later the royal advisor grew sick, and upon his death the Pokémon he grew to love and care for buried him on top of the highest peak so that he can be closest to the stars. Once the next full moon hit a pillar of light shined from that peak, a shock wave of light burst outwards as a winged serpent emerged, since then new Pokémon started to be born and the Light typing was born along side it.
