...well, if you are to believe Wikipedia and a moron with 8 hours of sleep at two in the morning.
Anyway, here's to optimism (or at least realism, I'll see if I can manage that) for the coming year.
Sorry for my incoherent rambling: it's late and I really cannot be bothered with quality right now.
My best wishes for your 2016. I know that for some of us, the past year has been a living hell.
Hopefully things are better at the next aphelion.
Oh, and before I go, I should state that I resolve to:
- Stop defeating myself and be more positive,
- Write a likely flawed scientific paper,
- Survive the anticipated high workload in order to attend the university I like.
What are your new year's resolutions?
The idea is really strange and, I suppose, human. The idea of celebrating the same things repeatedly and indefinitely. Perhaps it is some form of comfort as it lets us hold on to the past and recognise the future. (Well, at least until EVERYTHING is gone. Scarily, a supposition of M-theory/string theory states that the universe may experience another big bang spontaneously due to inter-universal collisions. [Citation needed.]
But that's diving into metaphysics at 2AM. Please. No.)Anyway, here's to optimism (or at least realism, I'll see if I can manage that) for the coming year.
Every year seemingly brings further self-enlightenment: I'm beginning to know where I stand and who I am (even if I don't like it :p. A flawed ensemble of goopy stuff.)
