THE SP★CE CITY
For furs living in the Greater Houston (aka, the 10 counties surrounding the city titled the: Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown) metropolitan area. Texas is a rather large state in our union; with several cities stretched about a great distance. This group was created to help narrow down those who live in the 2nd largest metropolitan of the state, and to promote new members to our ever-growing community.
Since 2002 we've come a long way in organized fur-meets since the humble days of Red Robin, Chipotle, Dave & Busters and Café Express. Please visit Lone Star Furs or The Houston Furries Meetup Group or The Houston Phi Paw Group or The Telegram Houston Phi Paw Announcement Group for the latest news of our current monthly gatherings. This is a non-totalistic community - you have the right to organize and run a fur-meet without anyone's approval; so if you wish, you may note us with your upcoming public event, and we'll make a journal post for you.
Regular monthly meets:
1st Sunday of the month - Picnic in the Park - located at Mercer Park - host: LordTora
2nd Wednesday of the month - Katy BBQ - located at Midway BBQ in Katy, TX - Host: Tyler Sims
4th Monday of the month - Movie & Game Nite - located at Wielder's home (ask for address) - host: Wielder13
There is also a Food Meet that is happening on random Friday nights in the downtown/Montrose area. Watch Telegram or here for location/date.
The Houston area does have other meets happening but they change so make sure to check the journals for those meets.
Please let me know if any of these artists are active or not and if there are any new locals that I need to add.
