Home of the Humboldt County Anthropomorphic Society AKA, The Humboldt Furry Meetup, AKA HumFurs!
This page is made for anyone local to Humboldt County California!!
If you visit but do not live here, feel free to drop messages here to get in contact with locals you might want to hang out with!
This is the new profile for a much older group called humfurs! We had a break between groups where no one was managing the social media and a lot of passwords were forgotten or lost and accounts were abandoned. Now we have a cohesive and active group bouncing around and having meets on a semi-regular basis. So be sure to check the actual dates on sites to make sure you are posting in newer, active groups! Please update your watchlists for info.
The best way to get in touch is our private group on Facebook! We pre screen members, locals only, please!

A bit o' history!!
This group was originally founded by
Dreamous and hosted for the first time by 
moredena! I am 
Aazhie and was part of the original meetups. This area has always been a good place to be furry, as the quirky locals are usually welcoming to fursuits and odd people. The local community is generally full of animal advocates and people who appreciate wild things and nature, as well as creative crafty things. Redwood curtain refers to the relative difficulty and isolation from the rest of the surrounding area. We are about an hour or two drive from the Oregon border, and about six hours drive from Reno (BLFC!!), San Jose (FC!!!) and Sacramento, to put things in perspective. If you are in a nearby county, feel free to follow or drop a note, sometimes a few of us might be driving through your neck of the woods- or if you happen to be in town- we could have a meetup with whoever happens to be free :D

No means no, maybe does not give you permission to harass or bother someone for attention/physical interaction. Please take responsibility for your actions and reactions. You do not have any right to misbehave if someone respectfully declines a request.
-Be respectful of others.
-Respect others desires to not be a part of a conversation or topic. Be mature and please state maturely (whenever possible) if a subject is uncomfortable for you so that others may be respectful of your needs.
-Gossiping will not be tolerated in any connection to our group or the furry community.
-Express any concerns you may have, regarding others, to Tokala or Farrin the group leaders. If you need to be introduced to either of them, please note this group or ask on the FB group!!
-Avoid doing or saying anything that would intentionally bother or offend other members.
-Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated within the community.
-Do not solicit minors with or for any sexual topics or content.
-No NSWF chats or topics with minors.
-NSFW chats/topics/events/content is +18 only.
-Unsolicited messages, images, or content of a sexual nature will be considered sexual harassment. Admins/leaders will assess the situation and handle it. Sexual harassment will not be tolerated*
-Explicitly state if your created Meet-up is +18 only or has other/different restrictions or rules.
-Keep conversions and topics furry related within the Hum Fur Chats.
This community is a place of safety and security. We would like ALL of our members to feel safe and secure within the community!
