Let me be clear:
I
AM
AN
ED-I-TOR!
Not trying to be mean or rude, I just want to be clear that most, if not all of this work stems from someone else's picture, I alter it to make it slightly different while still pertaining to the original work's spirit. I credit the artist in the title and link the original in the description. I want to be clear so I don't get messages giving me a heart attack with stuff like "I love your art";
now, I know the gesture is complementary, but I don't want people getting the wrong idea and it sparking animosity between me, and the original artist (I've already had one controversy, even if it was short-lived). If you want to complement me (and I doubt that) word it more akin to: "I love your edits/work" so It's less confusing and more precise.
If I do make something original: I will make it quite clear.
While it shouldn't need to be said but if you're like me you'll want this reassurance: All sexually depicted characters are at LEAST 18 years old, but likely older.
If it doesn't look like it to you, the issue is more skill than intent.

So those that frequent my page might be wondering if certain images are no longer on my page, and they're not, I deleted them.
For a very good reason, I wasn't sure about them being exactly... of age.
Keep in mind that I mostly used to do only editing work, and while I always intended to have all characters depicted be 18+, the base images sometimes didn't really reflect that. So, I altered at least some of them to get them to where I felt they should be. Some of them I didn't touch up as much as I think I should've and maybe didn't really clear the bar. Some of them I did just jump the gun on removing until I got confirmation from the source, but I also didn't really like them enough to bring back.
I also removed a couple of the more recent Koikatsu sets as I felt they were... a little gross. One of which I replaced, the other would take a lot more work to do something with.
I do all of this because I don't to promote or be a part of the more sickening parts of... let's call it the gooner fandom. I grew up (especially in my teen years) on anime and its fanservice, and it warped the hell out of my sense restraint and what was okay to "like" and what wasn't. I always just assumed that Anime just drew them like adults so I should treat them as such and not worry. That's not always the case and sometimes they really do look their age, so where's the line drawn? We like to pretend that these are exceptions and we wouldn't do the things we do in hentai games or fantasies, but as we find out with people that get exposed for their actions, that's not true either! So I'm trying to re-evaluate myself and what I own and post. I am part of quite a few very open and welcoming communities, and I want to be able to "show my hand" while neither feeling ashamed, nor disgusting them.
Now, this doesn't mean I'm asking any one of my viewers to change or to delete something of mine from your systems, I won't. This stuff is 85% gray area anyway, and nothing will look perfectly okay to everyone on the outside. My judgements may not even be accurate and I just got rid of them in a paranoid panic I'm just having an anxiety-induced crisis and I want to feel better about myself. If any of you really want to see something that was deleted again. I will do my best to make it something I feel is FA-worthy.
Thank you.
