Izuku never gets One For All, but by some miracle he manages to get into the hero course with Rescue Points alone by staging and coordinating a relief effort to save fellow students caught in the crossfire. When Izuku manages to use his wits to throw the ball - turning his uniform's tie into a slingshot for the ball - Bakugo tries attacking him for "daring to try". He is stopping by Aizawa who questions what his beef is. When Bakugo makes it clear that his hostility is built on Fantastic Racism, he expels him on the spot. When Bakugo's parents show up to demand he accept Bakugo, Nedzu uncovers Aldera's attempts to cover up a long list of delinquent behavior from Katsuki.

Alternatively, Bakugo's behavior goes unnoticed and Aizawa decides to expel Izuku on the spot because of his quirklessness, this version of Aizawa being The Svengali who prefers to have his students figure out his intentions instead of actually teaching them and then mooch off of their successes. When Ochako tries defending him - pointing out that she would have died in the Entrance Exam if it wasn't for him - he expels her too. The rest of the class take this up to Nedzu in protest, who has Aizawa put on unpaid leave, Izuku and Ochako reinstated and a new teacher fills in for their homeroom.

Alternatively again, Bakugo doesn't lash out during the ball exam, taking pride that the "quirkless loser" still got last, but becomes frustrated when Aizawa still keeps him in the program due to taking interest in Izuku's wit. During the Battle Trial Arc, Izuku uses his knowledge of Bakugo's behavior to distract him long enough for Ochako to retrieve the bomb. Furious at being humiliated, Bakugo charges to maim Izuku following the test only for All-Might to stop him. In his rage, Bakugo shouts he will not be looked down up by a "quirkless Deku" again, which reveals his Inferiority Superiority Complex. Seeing his unstable nature too dangerous to let out, UA puts him under mandatory therapy, and either expel him for his refusal to change or puts him in the 1-B class (to keep him away from Izuku for the foreseeable future) if he passes.
