Hey everyone! It's been a long long time since I updated, so I may as well blab a bit, in case any followers still here are curious about what's up lately.

This year's been a strange one for me. I was hugely productive with art for the first half of it! I was on pace to finish about 70 pictures in 2025 at one point, which would blow away most years. But then I hurt my back at work and was out for about a month, hurt it again a few more times, and sorta just burned out on art and the internet in the meantime. It's been much slower since July, and good chunks of the stuff I draw still aren't making it off of my Discord and into my galleries.

I'm starting to feel like the internet might not be worth it anymore. Most places I post art are trying to scrape it for AI training. Every site seems to be extremely antisocial. Knowing how many bots are out there, likes and shares feel like nothing most of the time (appropriately, honestly), and comments are near non-existent. And then there's me, who isn't really trying or wanting to make any money from this anyway. All that stuff adds a lot to a sense of not really doing any of this for any good reason. Seems like each pic is me dumping my time into a thing I don't particularly feel strongly about doing, putting it up, and watching it sink to the bottom of a pool, and then repeating the process. Sure feels like a waste of time a lot of the time - I don't really want to draw particular things as much I want to have felt productive.

That's all stuff I'm running through my head a lot this year, and I've slowed down because of it. I don't think I'll ever fully stop drawing, but I may stay slow for a while... and the day may come that I just stop uploading my stuff on public sites. Time will tell!

I'm still lurking around here and other places for now though. Hoping for nicer days and better spaces for everyone!
