So, here I am. I did it.

I escaped the house, and my abusive family.

Now the fun part; where do I go next?

I'm currently staying with a friend in Maryland, and I'd love to be in the area more permanently than the next week-and-some-change. To that end I'm going to check out the hiring scene. I also have one friend who has contacts up in Maine, and while it'd be a long trip I could pull it off.

But in the meantime.
Does anyone in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic area of the US have room for one person with a couple suitcases and some bankers boxes of stuff? I'm able-bodied, have my own car in good condition and can travel at length and speed for any distance. I'd like to make arrangements for permanent residence, but even just a place to stay for a few weeks would help.

And if you can, please spread this around so it can, hopefully, reach the right people.

I cannot return to the place I came from; I will not survive there.

This is the fourth day out on my own. I really need some help connecting with folks and putting my new life back together. Please help me.
