About Favourites, "Watches" and Comments

I recently received some notes from artists who I've watched/Faved of, asking why I don't leave comments even after a big load of favourites and/or a watch from my part.

Truth is, I tend to write long comments, which may include almost surely a small constructive critique about the pic, in which I state what I like about it, and point little ways to improve said picture; I try, though, not to mess with the Author's art style with comments such as "The head's too big" or "You got the proportions wrong"; I know there exist several different and unique styles belonging to each different artist here in FurAffinity and outside the site, as well. I respect if you've got different tastes and likes than I do, and I try not to mess with them.

I have encountered in the past, though, some persons are offended by constructive criticism about their art, or to receive a long comment stating what one likes in their pic, calling it "over analysing"; This is why I normally don't comment on pictures, or leave a small message when I watch an artist.

The fact I've watched you means I'm seriously interested in your art; The fact I favourite one or more of your pieces, means I indeed like them. Please don't get offended if I give you too many/too few favourites in a single look through your gallery. Adding several pieces of a single artist to my favourites implies I encountered something in them that I like in a first and second view of the picture; Even though it may appear I'm just "faving everything on sight" in your gallery, I watch carefully each one of the pictures I fav.

Au contraire, giving you one/two favourites doesn't mean I don't like your art "as much as I like X or Y's art", but that, due to work or offline life Issues popping all around, I didn't posses the time to have a complete look through your gallery, but most likely will revisit it once I have free time and take a good look around it, which may result in some more favourites and/or a watch from my part.

That said, excuse the lack of a comment when I favourite a piece of yours or watch your gallery, for the reasons above stated; If you'd like me to comment next time I browse through it and favourite something, please say so, commenting in my page or sending me a note; Even when I don't reply to them, I still read and consider each one.

Also, there's no need to thank me for favouriting/Watching you. Is an honour to do so; I appreciate you comment on my page and do it, for it means you're "aware of my existence" and know that, even if you don't get a comment from me, I'm most likely going to be watching your gallery and giving a fav or two once in a while; I also understand you don't do it every time I favourite something of yours, for you may be busy, or not able to comment each time I do so.

I repeat, then, It's a pleasure and an honour to favourite something of yours and/or watching you, and I apologize for the lack of comments when I do.
