This Is A Close Species
What Are Snaptails??
Snaptails are pretty much a very small clan of what is known as an Assassin Species.
These creatures take place in a little-huge world I love to call Grey. Strongest down from Reapers you will find these freakishly small to huge creatures with a terrifying clamp at the end of their tails. This is one thing you never want to get near. Or rather..you dont want to get near this species in general. While being able to look like average animals some features stand out more. Such as; they often have slightly bigger feet. Deathly sharp talons. Huge ears or none at all -this doesnt mean they can't hear though-. It is a very new species to area though. So while they are strong, they are rather weak. Still being watched over by what is referred to as 'The Council'.
How Is A Snaptail Made?
Its A Mutation to be honest. Selected Sub species are chosen here and there to carry the first Egg. Once that Egg is made , Snapper Egg, it is taken and held in a chamber. Once born that Snaptail is taken to the Village of Snaps. Hidden deeply within the dark forests of Grey where it is raised to be its best if not even greater. Through Mating, it creates more of that species.
Gender Differences?
MY Favorite. Now Males, male Snaptails are always Black and White. No exceptions.
Females range from many colors.They can be black and white BUT it is very rare and only on is known to be Black and White. And one female who happens to be ALL white -shes considered Partial Albino since she does not hold red eyes.- Neat!
Mating?
Yeah everyones always interested in that part aren't you? Pervs.
Should two Snappers mate the baby will always come out as the sub species of the mother. -hey! Doesnt that sound like Pokemon..? //shut up//- How ever, it will sometimes resemble the father. -like how the baby will have one of the fathers attacks in POKEMON?! //I said shut up//- But, be it male, it will always be Black and White. I dont ever recommend a female being rainbow colors....Actually Thats not allowed. Ever. Rainbow babies will be killed. I dont care.
So...What IF A Female Mates With Not-Snaptail?
Be that it is coming from the mother, they baby will indeed become a Snaptail. Should it come out as a boy, same as above, it is Black and Right. No exceptions.
Ok. Well What If A Male Snapta-
There is a 50/50 chance you will get a Snaptail baby. But being as the mother will not be used to giving birth to baby with a clamp...it might hurt. And if her male snaptail mate is 10 ft tall and shes only like...6? I feel sorry for her. Unless she likes that. Whatever drifts you guys. Idk.
Hey Bruh, They Kinda Resemble MouthTails
In the fact that they share a tail with a mouth? Maybe.
But allow me , A Snaptails Clamp is just that. If you were able to open it and peek inside without getting your face cleaned off you will that a Snaptails Clamp is in no way a Parasite. It has no mouth and it needs no process to latch onto the holder. BECAUSE it is born with it. It is as much a tail as is the fingers you use to type. I only clarify this because in the passed people have come to be asking if I copied MouthTails. But I did not. Honestly and truly.
So Now That We Know, What IS The Tail For ANYWAYS?????
Well my love if you have been paying attention as I've been speaking, Snaptails are their species name. They are their tails. With out their tails they are nothing. Because while defending or running missions to murder or even just that; murdering, that tail is everything. They need that to function in their lives other wise they are just another wolf, cat, fish, duck. Whatever sub species they are with a nub of a tail. Should they ever be weak or clumsy enough to lose it in battle, they are killed by the Clan Leader. Or worse; exiled. And let me tell you, the gap between the Snapper Village and the closest SAFE town is not a pretty road. Ask Mono himself. He dont got those scars ONLY from training like a Boss.
ALSO Bonus for this. Snappers often dont just hook up. It is done some times , but those relationships are normally flings. Ask Monos twerp twin Dami. But when a Snapper finds their mate -as in the fucker they're stuck with for LEEF //life//- it is not because they fall for hard for the other Snapper but its because their fucking tail starts clicking. When A Snapper meets the Snapper for them, their tail clicks. In return the other tail will click back. Once a pair when the two are most happy, the clamps will click together in an odd but soft and soothing rhythm. A rather beautiful sound to be honest.
What Happens If This Never Happens
Not every one has a SoulMate man. Calm down. If it happens it happens. Some may see it as a free ticket to date and live on with whomever they wish. Others, well they have work. They can be mated to that. Do keep in mind, just like humans, you may not always like your Soul Mate. So this is a risky thing for them. Being as they themselves are a lethal weapon, mating can be a game of Roulette. Unless they become a Mr. And Mrs. Smith thing than cool. Those relationships are kinda funny. It makes coming home to the Village an adventure each day.
What If Your Snapper Doesnt Want To Do Missions?
Wel theres a place for everyone in Clans no?
The may all be Assassins. But there are a select few who dont do missions. Merely because they have other duties other than to go get paid big monies for taking some dude out because his wife hates his guts and wants to marry his rich brother. //just an example//. Such as Aquatic Snaptails. These are often Healers. And stay within the Village to tend to wounded and even protect the Innards of the home.
Now if you are a Snaptail who doesnt do anything at all that deals with being a hardcore Snaptail...well then...You get your Clamp bound. Unable to use it. It is however given enough room to perhap click should it ever find your mate or you have a mate and would love to make sweet clicks with them as you gaze up at the huge ass purple moon of Grey.
Do They Have Feral Forms
They do actually. But they are rarely taken I guess. As an infant it is normally locked into easily do to emotions. Later on they learn to control that side more seeing as its more..ferocious than their Anthro forms you will normally find them in.
Ok I Think I Got The Idea Of These Weird Creatures, But One Last Thing; How Did You Come Up With These Things?
Ah well...in all honestly as a child I was always making up creatures in my head. I guess you can thank the many animal like animes I watched. Like Pokemon, Digimon, Zoids , even Power Rangers Rain Forest. I always wanted some kind of creature I could call mine that I knew would protect me from whatever and keep me company. That is how Mono was created. Originally he was my first official Fursona I made when I came here. I wanted someone who looked awesome and cool. Someone who would scare people off to prevent me from getting bullied and to just generally keep people away. And I made this beastie who was both cruel and very kind to me. I cherish Mono. Though he doesnt make huge appearances anymore like he use to, he holds a deep spot in my heart and among my OCs. And Ive always been fascinated with odd looking tails. Especially ones you can use as a weapon or something.

11 years ago Trying to clear my head I went along and posted info about the snaptails on the 'About Me' part so no one has to search journals.
I also delete journals often.
Do this stuff is kinda helping me to calm down.

Im kinda excited about fixing this account up.

I might do some sketches or what not.
