I love how I made this gosh darned thing and can't even remember my username enough to tell it to other people at conventions. Clearly I need something simpler.

Anyway.

I'm actually kind of not even sure what to write here!

Guess I'll start by prattling on about Photon as a character and how that all got started, yeah?

You know how sometimes a character concept will just smack you upside the head, and you have to make it happen, and then it grows and mutates and takes on a life of its own? Story of a writer, huh? Well, that's pretty much how it went. First I saw the fabric and decided "THIS. OMG THIS NEEDS TO BE A SUIT." and had a vague idea of what I'd do with it. Next thing I know, we've got a character and a personality and all that goodness, even though I'm still working details of it out.

What I've got so far? As a character, he's an extra-terrestrial lifeform that looks vulpine enough to somewhat pass, despite odd uncanny valley going on when it comes to a few things(like that unearthly glow to his eyes). Instead of conquering or even continuing on his journey to explore and scout out new lands for the Empire....he wound up on Earth and getting distracted by all of the shiny parties and raves and conventions, these novel events taking higher priority than any assignments or missions he might've had until this point and just chosen to ignore because "Oh look what's this" seems like a reason enough in his mind. Fun loving alien vulpine. Pretty much all there is to it.

I actually want to toy with Createx brand's UV reactive paint additive, to see if I can actually make some blacklight responsive markings on his fursuit, but we'll have to see on that. The idea being that that would be another one of those "And all the more evidence that Photon isn't exactly a normal Earth fox" things.

And now that I'm getting into the technical:

He's my first attempt at a personal suit for fandomthings, beyond a couple of fail cosplay fursuits in the past.
He's built off a DVC resin blank, along with LED follow-me-eyes, blacklight responsive claws, silicone nose, silicone pawpads, silicone tongue, 1" fan and taxidermy jawset all from  DreamVisionCreations
