I'm just your garden variety stripecat. Occasionally witty, frequently snarky, sometimes funny. And at times, all at once!
If you're here, then hey...thanks for visiting. I like to lurk here and keep up with a few of the wonderful folks I've met here over the years, write something every once in a blue moon, and pictures if anything catches my interest.
I kinda like my obscurity here, so I do apologize for the underwhelming content. I'm glad you stopped by nonetheless!
Leave a holler if you'd like to say somethin'. This tiger is reasonably friendly, if not productive!

Wild Nights 2015 post-con report! (G)
Hoo boy...where do I start with THIS little gem...
So I left on the 20th of April [imagine the weird looks I got from HR when I put in my leave of absence starting on that particular date] to go down to Oklahoma. I didn't sleep a wink the whole way down there because I was so psyched. Even after being panhandled to a ridiculous degree by shrewd street-folk in NY, my spirits were high. I hadn't seen my best friend
pan-pan in several months, which was a new feeling for me because for several years we lived...maybe fifteen minutes away from each other at most. I was so happy to spend time with her that I didn't even mind sharing the same living quarters with her cranky cat Kih-kih. XP
But the next day after arriving was when the fun began. I mean, after we got to the campsite in Robbers Cave State Park. My third time coming to this place, and it still feels the exact same way it did last time I visited. Right down to the tree-jizz raining down on everyone and making my allergies bitch most of the time...which was still an unpleasant, but tolerable experience considering it was my vacation.
So I tried something new this year! I brought a sample variety of energy potions with me in the hopes of generating a little extra revenue. It was a huge success! I sold out within the first hour [though I must admit, that was also due to the fact that I hadn't brought much merchandise with me. Just enough to see what the interest levels were like]. Thanks to everyone who bought my wares! Because of all of you, I've decided that...*fanfare*...
Prominence's Potion Parlour
will return next year, with plenty more stock and more variety!
Immediately after that,
EuryBaaBaa [who was kind enough to keep me company and attract customers] and I used the proceeds to fund the materials necessary for a Zelda-themed drinking party later that day.
Cassandrus_Blackclaw was even gracious enough to 'bark' for the mini-event and tell folks about it [thanks again, you were awesome brother].
After our 'Triforce of Intoxication' had been depleted, we realized we'd have to do something like this again next time...so expect us to have a proper nerd-drink party at next year's WN!
I met so many wonderful new friends and so many familiar faces this year. Soon I'll post up a proper list of shout-outs and thanks, but I think I'll cut this short before I start rambling more than I usually do. I returned to work immediately after getting home, and today was my first day off. I'm still a bit frazzled from the journey back, which I'll get into in my next journal. Also, I have lots of art that needs uploading, and that'll be accomplished soon as well.
Thanks a lot, everyone! If I needed convincing to come back next year, you guys gave it to me. Stay awesome!
