Back again for a short while....
Sorry for the very long wait between posts. I have been very sick and had to take a LOOONNNNGGG break.
First up, I was banned from using my computer for a while because of something stupid I did, which was hook up my Disabilities Trust Fund to Paypal which really messed up my bank account and I had done it without permission. I had also snuck into my mom's room to get my banking information without asking. So she is very pissed at me and won't forgive me for this massive mistake even though I have apologized and even accepted the punishment as well as show that I truly am sorry for what I did. Forgiveness is not in my mom's nature. But whatever....
Second up, I got very seriously ill twice and it was found out that the parasitic bacteria that I had in February of last year has permanently affected my immune system. So now I am susceptible to nearly everything that is out there, including the flu and other, more serious ailments. As a result, I have had pneumonia this past Christmas which put me back in the hospital and I had to have my lungs drained of fluid. Then, this February, I had a bronchitis attack and had to be placed on steroids and antibiotics. Sucks.
Also, the pain in my feet was discovered not to be the result of bone spurs. No, it is something much more serious than that. I was diagnosed with a rare genetic problem that is becoming more common. This genetic disorder is called Plantarfaeschitis (not sure of spelling). Mine is so rare because I have it really badly in both of my feet. The muscles in my feet are stretching and pulling and there is so little muscle left that the bones in my feet are actually rubbing against each other and I am in serious danger of developing bone spurs as a result. Plantarfaeschitis is also often brought on by massive weight gain (which is not an issue in my case) and other issues. When the I asked the podiatrist why mine was rare, he explained to me that the reason it is rare in my case is that he has never, in his career, seen it this badly in both feet in any one person. He said that I would require years of intensive therapy and life-long commitment to taking pain medication. I was prescribed Mobic, or the generic form known as Meloxicam. I take this medication everyday right after I have eaten and it often makes me drowsy. Bleh...
Thirdly, when my grandmother on my mother's side passed away (she had a stroke and died), my grandfather on my mother's side had to be placed in the assisted living section of a nursing home. And, since my grandmother's passing, his health has deteriorated rapidly. He is now on supplemental oxygen and diuretics because his body is retaining fluids. And the diuretics, which are supposed to help, are doing more harm than good. My grandfather is now having to use the restroom every thirty minutes and is not able to even sleep. And what's worse is that he has put on weight, which is hard on his already weak heart. And his arthritis is hurting worse than ever. But at least he has help available to him 24/7 so that if anything happens to him or around him, help will always be available. And the nurses there have confiscated his medications so that they can give the medications to him when it is time to take them. This is because he no longer remembers when his last dose of medication was taken and even forgets his medication. This way they can monitor him and help him. If they had not done this, grandfather would have been in danger of overdosing on his medicines or worse, not take them at all and suffer from even worse health issues. He doesn't like it, because he likes to be independant, but he can't be independant anymore. I will be going to visit him in April of this year and hopefully bring a ray of sunshine into his lonely life. Meh...
Fourth, I am getting ready to move out on my own in a few months which I am really excited for. I am already looking for roommates. This is because my family and I are moving in May of this year to Tucson or Atlanta. The Tucson, Arizona bit is because my father's company, Freeport MacMoran, is deciding whether or not to go forward in their plans to build a laboratory in West Tucson. If they do go forward with their plans, we will move to Tucson within the month of May. If they don't, my father will have to find a job overseas, and my mother wants to live near the airport in Atlanta, Georgia. No idea why, but that is what she wants. When this occurs, I will either be transferred to another Safeway in Tucson, or have to find another job in Atlanta. But I am hoping that we move to Tucson. That way my plans for moving out will be put on the fast track.
On an unrelated, but positive note, I got a raise. I am now earning a whopping $9.35 an hour and am working 20 hours a week. I wish I could work more, but I have a lot of constraints, one of which being Social Security Disabilities Benefits and stupid Medicare and Medicaid. But hey, at least I am earning money!
Fifth is that I am getting ready to celebrate my 29th Hatching Day on March 17th this year!! I am so excited!!!!! I will be going on a huge shopping spree and buy everything Dragon or Deamon related!! I will probably buy some CDs and movies as well.
Well, gotta go now!! Love all of you!!
