Hello, Hello! Welcome to the wonderfully warm and fuzzy world of retro cubs! To the best of my knowledge this is the first and only page on Furaffinity or any other such site dedicated entirely to retro cubs and the concept behind them. What are retro cubs? As the name would suggest, retro cubs are cubs (Babyfur/Littlefur/Kidfur) who don't live or exist within the same era as we do and have lives modeled around the time they come from (For example, a 1970's retro cub might wear a pair of worn overalls and enjoy Saturday morning cartoons, a 1950's retro cub may be fascinated by rocketships and carry around a slingshot in his back pocket, etc). This is not intended as a nostalgia page or group, we have nothing against nostalgia but it isn't really the main focus or reason behind retro cubs, they exist for a variety of reasons. In short, retro cubs are fursonas who live in the past and have childhoods modeled after those eras. While we mainly focus on retro cubs from the 1950's-1970's there is no set requirement to be considered one aside from being a littlefur/kidfur/babyfur and living at some point in the past, cubs from the 1900's would be permitted as would cubs from the 2000's. You don't have to have been a child in that era to be a retro cub, you can easily be born 20+ years after the era ended and still be just as passionate about your fursona and their era as a person who was a child then. In the end as long as you care and are passionate about your characters you can join and be accepted all the same.
