Art or Treat reminder/update/dropout
5 years agobecause of work and some home issues* i unfortunately had to drop out because i don't think i'll be able to complete any treats in a timely manner (at least not to the level of detail i'd planned on)
that being said, i still encourage everyone who can and wants to to participate in Art or Treat this year, or to at least check out and follow some of the participating artists. details are copied below again
(* we're still dealing with packing up our ex roommates' shit, taking care of the animals of a friend who's currently homeless, and moving the rest of our stuff inside. between that, my own personal issues, and work, by the time i get off work at either 11pm or 1am, i don't have the energy to draw anything)

Getting this posted now so people have time to get it posted/prepare/plan etc

On the 25th through the 31st of October, post a journal/tweet/etc that's called LIGHTS ON
This shows that your "porch light" is on and you're accepting Trick or Treaters.
People can come to your journal/tweet/etc and comment "Trick or Treat!" or whatever other code word you'd like to use.
At which point, the creator of the journal can offer up small sketches or the like as treats for who comments.
And, as to not overwhelm people, you can set a limit as to how many trick or treaters you'll take.
Everyone runs out of candy eventually! Once you hit your limit you can change your journal to Lights off or closed, etc.
I feel this could be a chance for some people to get some art and have fun while doing it as well~
Also, please don't be greedy! Be courteous to your other Trick or Treaters!
