Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting a retired animator named Tim Hatcher that worked on shows and movies like Jimmy Neutron, The Book of Life, Daffy's Rhapsody, The Weird Al Show and a few other notable products-- he was such a delightful, friendly dude and I was so excited to talk with him about the animation industry, his experiences, and his previous work.

I was lucky enough to be shown a project of his that never got picked up called Sheila The Gila, a story about a career-girl Gila monster looking for stardom and love in an animated, stylized setting. As soon as I saw her design I knew I would be a fan. After mentioning how I would love to share her with the world, Tim posted the initial 1998 teaser onto youtube and i IMPLORE you to watch it HERE! I don't know how much Tim knows about the furry fandom in general (I showed him my fursona after he showed me Sheila so I could point out their similarities/my interest in lady reptiles and he seemed to like her lol) but as a scalie I really love Sheila and think she deserves more people to see her. My boyfriend and I are the only Sheila the Gila fans on earth as of right now and I am looking to change that lmfao!
