I'm trying to make art!

A friend of mine recently gave me their Wacom Intuos tablet, and I've been doodling around in Krita. The issue is, I have very little experience in art as a whole and am having difficulty with progressing past silly scribbles and making shapes. How should I start? I know I'm not going to be great at first, but I'm having issues taking the first step at all.
