I’ve just completed a major update for Astray. You can read it here, or visit my site for a better experience and more formats.

This update did a few major things:

- Removed the more advanced sci-fi concepts of anti-gravity and deflector fields. The setting is now closer to a near-future one, but still has plenty of advanced technology: coilguns, widespread synthetic meat, advanced medicine and anti-aging technology, etc...
- Made the Wandering Horizon a large aircraft and not a spaceship.
- Reinforced that Errant Blades are rescue and relief workers first and foremost.
- Some, but not all, references to cities add the “-sa’ik” suffix.
- Added or adjusted some additional descriptive detail to some scenes, with little to no narrative impact.
-Fixing errors and polishing.

I'm locking in the story at this point, so future changes will only adjust errors and offer some polishing at most. Next up will be new chapters.
