Just a reminder (G)

If the extent of your outrage over an issue is to post about it online, change your icon to a black square or draw supportive pictures, you haven't actually done anything. You've essentially just thrown a fit for internet points. If you actually want to do something, get involved in your government. Democracy is advanced citizenship, it requires that everyone play their part as an educated voter. Here's some links to get you started:
Do the damn census
Seriously, all you need to do is put in your address, who you are & what you identify as.
Figure out what you actually are
A lot of people say they are republican or democrat, but when you go issue by issue, they might be more center or the opposite.
Figure out where you stand on various issues
This is a more in depth version of political compass that focuses more on a range of issues (ie Equality v Markets, Federal v Unitary, Democracy v Authority).
The hard part, part 1
REGISTER TO VOTE. If you're already registered, make sure all your stuff is up to date. Once that is done, put in your address to find out what you'll be voting on for your ballot.
The hard part, part 2
LEARN ABOUT YOUR CANDIDATES. You think you've decided what you'll vote on? Great! Now look into how they've voted in the past on various issues, where they get their money etc. They might sound great on paper, but their actions should speak for them.
The hard part, part 3
Possibly the hardest step given the pandemic, but figure out where/when you can vote, AND GO VOTE. I've already done a good chunk of the work for you, the least you can do is some googling.
