Hey folks. Vox here. It's Christmas Day here in Metroberg. I'm unusually up, watching the sunrise from the shoreline of Grass Lake, sipping a regular coffee. It's lightly snowing, about six inches already from last night. The shops are all closed for the holidays, save for the regular 24/7 convenience stores. If I check the reports... it should be tapering off by noon, good enough for the kids to play around in the morning.

Before folks ask, no, I brought my car from Odenton and had all the maintenance done. The "PrrfPanzer" is prowling northern California, folks. No sense sucking snow into this frame's vents.

I attended Norse and Hauler's Yule celebrations earlier this morning. Norse celebrates Yule, leaving out oats, barley, and brandy for Santa the day before and opening presents right after midnight. Lovely gifts. I even got a battery-powered soldering iron from Hauler, a high power one. It'll weld steel if set right. That's a keeper even for when I'm back in the flesh and blood. I got Hauler a vintage Detroit Diesel maintenance manual in mint condition and Norse I found an elegant dress that shi took to immediately. It warms my heart.

Later on today Kali and I will visit everyone. Yukon's house is very roomy and it'll be great to see how her siblings are adjusting. I drove by and they were having fun with Sven, their father, just looking on. I'm glad I baked up some cinnamon buns and dropped them off. Sven appreciated that.

I got a few presents for Sam and Max, Lights and Stereo's kids. We'll spoil them rotten in due time.

Drake joined me just now. That synth Canmephian was initially concerned but it's all good. It's good to just mellow out a bit and let folks have a day of peace. They also celebrate a day of Yule as part of their week of Saturnalia, shi tells me. The origins are a bit muddled as there's three camps of thought as to the origins of Yule among Canmephians. One camp says it's when Wolfskunks True and False were born, centuries back. Another camp says it was the time of peak mellowing during the Stoned Ages. The third says it was the day Atlantis disappeared from Canmephian waters...

...you know, that's something to ask Cass about. Maybe she can shed some light. I'll call Coils to see how she's doing and maybe bring Drake along.

Before you ask, no I'm not in a red Santa outfit, but yes, I'm wearing a Santa hat.
